Hi no one is good enough for Fitz so he's the weird bachelor of an uncle who shows up at Christmas and all the kids love and who gets hugged hard by his best friends and cracks jokes about not wanting to get married because then he'd have to clean his kitchen more than once a week and not drink out of the milk jug anymore and Biana rolls her eyes but she sees a lonely flash in his eyes and hugs him tighter but Fitz brushes it off and launches back into his life because even he knows he's lonely if only for someone to talk to in the stillness at night but he doesn't want you to know because he really is doing so much better than he used to, feeling so much better, so much more of a real person than he ever was allowed to be, his hair is dyed now, Biana! He's safe and he's free and the Vacker Family isn't his responsibility any longer but he sometimes wonders if he'll ever love anyone or if he's destined to walk the world alone because he could, he's strong that way, built that way, but the only reason he ever loved Sophie was because some piece of him wanted to love someone as much as he could and maybe just maybe Fitz is a teeny tiny bit lonely, even if he'll never admit that his house is too big for him and his soul
