It's been 10 years since I took photos of the 2015 homecoming parade and game at Fitzgerald High School. It was my old journey from 2015 to 2016 after I left high school in June 2013 for good. The GREAT news is that the Fitzgerald Spartans football team beat Northwestern Raven football and the sad news is that it was my final year of attending both the homecoming parade and game before I'm done attending there for good.

STORY The 17-year-old girl accused of stabbing a fellow straight-A student “was smiling and laughing” as she chased her classmate around a classroom at their Michigan high school, police said. #TanayaLewis was charged with one count of first-degree murder Friday afternoon in the death of her onetime friend, #DanynaGibson. Prosecutors said the teens were between classes at #FitzgeraldHighSchool when Lewis approached Danyna with a kitchen-style steak knife and stabbed her twice in the chest once directly in her heart. Wednesday morning. The 16-year-old victim attempted to flee, but fell to the ground, where Lewis began punching her and stabbing her, also puncturing Danyna’s lung. A teacher managed to push the suspect away, but Lewis attempted to get around the adult, allegedly shouting “I’m going to kill her” as she continued to lunge at the victim. Authorities have said they believe the fight was over a boy. Police Commissioner William Dwyer said Lewis became upset with #Danyna because she believed her classmate was telling her 17-year-old boyfriend that she’d been unfaithful and cheated on him. The officer noted that there were texts between Lewis and the male student, but declined to elaborate on them further. Dwyer added investigators also recovered information to suggest the suspect drove with her boyfriend to school the morning of the incident.
