These ARE in a particular order:
You're raising a child (the MC) from age 10 to 20, NOT growing with him, you are RESPONSIBLE for him, here you go *tosses 10-year-old Em'het at you* good luck
A military government trying to free a galaxy from oppressive overlords posing as gods by using said child's magical abilities to undermine their grip on their followers
A magic system that is inextricably tied to the person's soul, meaning that the more the child uses his magic abilities against said overlords to defeat them and take their magic away from them, the more it slowly corrupts him and literally corrodes his soul
A very complicated, extended found family system which includes the child's happily married adoptive parents, one PTSD uncle, one autistic aunt, one alloace uncle, another PTSD uncle, and a biological mom who can't won't stop stealing things from the rest of the found family
Childhood friends to lovers <3 ... And to save said childhood friend from the same fate of corrupting her soul, the child must continue being the weapon of the military government, because if he refuses or dies, then she'll be their next weapon
