5 things this (late) week: 5-11 February 2018
1) Uta no Prince Sama – Shining Live. A rhythm game just like Love Live and deresute (Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage). Even though I prefer deresute for the gameplay (and uhhh waifu is laifu, I’m still straight but… cute girls), the songs in utapri are also cool. Also!! The 2Dlive feature!! Watch handsome guys moving as they talk (ugh it’s so great you know, my collections don’t really move most of the time). It’s also great discovering a character that almost share a birthday with me (the closest one is still Sakura Matou from f/sn, because her birthday is my birthday too) – Ai Mikaze in first of March. A stoic, cool guy with a voice so high… his voice range is most likely in alto. Rare case for guys, which is a bonus point. So beautiful.
2) Finally getting to meet up (this is going to be split in some parts to fill in the “top 10 5” quota and because it’s pretty long) with my friend. Best guy. We ate burger king since it was on a promo and… he ate two burgers. The float thing is a total 10/10 too. He insisted on me wearing the paper crown but I’m low-key embarrassed so he sort of forced me to wear it :”) nah, it’s cute.
3) After that is something I didn’t dare to tell my parents because if they know… guess who gonna get grounded. We went to a neighboring city by train; it was just the two of us wanting to spend more time but not really knowing what to do. It was around an hour, so maybe two hours of going there and getting back. At the end we both got soaked wet because of heavy rain (and my heart was thumping so hard because I might get busted anytime) aaand at least I got home with a light flu. Nobody questioned why since it is rainy season anyway.
4) One month in my Russian course. It’s been very great so far. I still envy the class next door that got more space (I bet it’s supposed to be a place for working out since one side of their walls is a freaking mirror), but my class is pretty merry itself. Last week, a new girl came in (seriously though, don’t be like her) but I think she’s okay this week. Lessons starting to get more complicated and I’m expecting to jot in more notes but I’m more of an audio person in class… so I just listen to the teacher.
5) Maslenitsa – aka Russia’s own celebration to welcome spring, starting from 12 February until 18 February (at least, in this year). Symbolized with blini – well, because they’re pancakes and pancakes are round and yellow like the sun (which comes in spring). Even though my country is pretty far from that land of red bears, we still kind of celebrate it in my course place because… it’s the Russian culture center. What do you expect, really?
As for the result… free blini! I don’t even know whether that’s good news or bad news, but at the end I managed to grab two large pieces with lots of condensed milk. Someday I’ll have to learn to make my own, but for now… I’ll still buy.
and of course, I’ll come back with what’s happening this week, so... until Sunday it is!
