Five Hargreeves x Black!GN!Reader
Okay so below is my five x reader that I'm obviously not going to finish as I mentioned earlier. So obviously y'all voted yes to post what I have and y'all can finish it however you wish. But only if you credit me. This might be the only time I'm going to do this so please don't take advantage of this opportunity to steal any of my future works and continue them and stating that they are yours okay. As I mentioned below is my unfinished five x black reader, please do this fic justice, and I'll trust y'all to credit me, I'll repost anyone who finished this for me. I know you will do this fic good, alright good luck everyone!😘
Reader is gender-neutral, reader has locs, reader is mentally older (like 78) than Five yet is physically the same age(17), reader's powers are somewhat like a power connector or charger, just reader and Five wearing matching suits, established relationship, and slightly suggestive dialogue.
"Okay, this seems like a normal question but, How old is your lover?"
An annoyed sigh leaves Five's mouth as he looks at Lila, just the anger from the ruined briefcases increases just a tick at every inconvenience. This one being Lila's annoying voice.
"Why does it concern you," he asks with a sarcastic smirk, green eyes sparkling with irritation.
Wanting to tease him further, Lila replies with an equally sarcastic tone.
"Oh, there's no reason," she shrugs. "Just hoping that your old man mind wasn't having thoughts a pedo would have."
"Now why wou-"
His statement is interrupted by you coming into the electrical room in a corresponding yet matching white suit like Five's, just paired with a black turtle neck, black dress boots, and a thin gold chain with a ring, your wedding ring, in the middle.
Let's just say that you look rich and hot, like someone's actually attractive sugar daddy, Five's thoughts not mine.
You look from Lila and Five, you can still sense the tension of an argument as you were about to open the door.
"Did I interrupt something," you ask them.
You can see the warning look that Five gives Lila, the look only broadens her cheshire grin, she looks at you, eyes sprinkled with mischief.
"Oh, it's noth-"
"Oh, well I was just wandering, You know just a random thought," you nod at her, urging her to continue.
"How old are you, mentally of course," she adds.
Slightly taken back by the question, but not surprised. With a slightly suspicious look, you answer her question.
"I am mentally 78, last time I checked. Why?"
Instead of answering, Lila just laughs while Five's face flushes in anger, irritation, and embarrassment.
"Oh my god, I didn't know you were into cougars," she shrieks with laughter.
You laugh a little at the whole situation. Yes, people especially his siblings have asked this question time and time before, it mainly was Luther and Diego. Luther, of course, had to keep asking because of his shock, but the mention of his and Allision's whole incest love thing he had shut his mouth. Then Diego, well it was never really brought up unless it was a petty argument between him and Five.
"Okay, okay. We had our little giggle fest. Now can we please get to the situation at hand?" Five yells face still burning red.
You walk towards Five, kissing his forehead and muttering a small sorry love. His face flushes even more, if possible. Lila's laughter has lowered to small giggles but her attention is on the elephant in the room.
"All right then, what exactly are we supposed to do eh?" She nods towards the case. "It's fried," she continues.
"Well, I'm guessing Five was," you grab the charger cables connected to the briefcase. "What? A hotwire of some sort," you add, dropping the cables.
"Well, actually yes I was," he nods towards you. "Since my jumps are similar to the power of the briefcase," he starts.
"-Then it would recharge," You and Lila add.
"Well then what are you waiting for? Get to charging." You order.
"But I had already tried that," he murmurs.
"Yeah, and now his jump time has shrunk," Lila adds holding her fingers up in a pinching motion.
"So why didn't you copy his ability and you both charge it?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.
They seem to haven't even thought about that. Like these guys were one of the Commission's best, besides you of course, their IQs were one of the highest you've known.
So their brain cells were somewhere in Lala land. They look at the floor with heated faces, embarrassed at your claim, once again being outsmarted by you. Shaking off her embarrassment Lila stands up straighter and walks towards Five.
"Well, then. As much as you and I will hate this, I think your lover is suggesting that we hold hands for this to work." Lilia states as she holds out her hand.
Five's face is nothing but disgust as his eyes dart from her hand to you then back again.
"Excuse me?" He asks, shock evident in his tone.
"You heard me, you little shit. Now hold my hand," she urges her hand towards him. "The sooner we do this the sooner we can forget this."
She wasn't wrong in that sense but that does not make him cave. Instead, he rakes his brain for alternatives, wearing gloves wasn't going to do anything but melt the gloves, chopping off his hand, kind of dramatic and he'll be down a hand so no, using you as a jumper cable, na-wait. A slight smirk crawls onto his face, he looks at you, eyes holding nothing but smugness.
"But what if, and this is hypothetically speaking, there was a certain someone," he receives a pointed stare from you. "Who just oh I don't, " he links his hand together. "-link me and Lila's jumps together all while powering them up to ensure an efficient jump to our destination. And or possibly recharge the briefcase"
The smug smile on his face not only pisses you off because he's right, curse him and his big brain, but you love his big brain. Yet he's so adamant about not touching hands with Lila just for them to power up the briefcase. That they both need. With a sigh of frustration, you squeeze yourself in between the two while gripping their hands.
"You're lucky I'm bored and in dire need of an adventure," you say snark not hidden in the slightest.
"Well alrighty, then pipsqueaks hold on tight and give me everything you got."
[Ngl describing this scene is kind of difficult so if you want a visual it's best if you watch that scene and just imagine yourself between them, with your body mostly your hands pulsing with light So we're just gonna skip to where Five is in the switchboard room]
Looking around the now gray, snowed in a destroyed switchboard room. Chairs were knocked over, computer screens shattered, ceiling caving in, wires torn and sparking. The air smelled stale, and strangely of electrical tape, it's not a terrible smell, it won't kill you. With hands in your front pockets, you walk towards the only completely attached switchboard, you see your reflection on the mirrored screen.
"This place is completely in ruins Five," you mention as you look around the room again.
"I never knew that this place could be touched by anything," Five states as spins around the room.
"Especially a place in its own space in time," you mutter flicking the switches, hoping for a spark.
Five only hums, leaning down next to you, he smacks your hands away from the switchboard, flicks the right switches, and turns the knobs in a specific order. Letting the only non-shattered computer screen spark to life, showing Herb on screen.
Both of you look squint at the screen faces slightly squished together, to be honest, you weren't paying attention to what the small man on the screen said, you were looking behind him watching the office crumble and shatter. Just as soon as it started the screen blinked black, the smell of electrical tape and smoke flooding your nose, making you move away from the small screen.
"Oh poor Herb," you murmured. You had known Herb for a long time, he was an odd little guy, yeah but he and Dot were the sweetest people, that's rare in the life of the Commission. They were your friends before Five had blinked into your life, even after you and Five stared dating they were still your dearest friends.
"I guess this place wasn't entirely untouchable," Five sighs.
A beat of silence passes through before Five could continue.
"I'm sorry meraviglia," he grabs your hand in his own. "I knew how much he meant to you."
You squeeze his hand, thank you.
"Yeah but that's not important right now," there's a slight quiver in your voice. "What's important is that we find out what exactly is causing this to happen."
"I could kill for some scrambled eggs right now"
At Lila's mutter, you quickly let Five"s hand go.
"It's not like you can't," you mutter.
Not that you were embarrassed by your and Five's relationship when it came to Lila, of course not. You just need to focus on the task at hand even if that means you need to space yourself from Five for a bit.
"This is bigger than the timeline, Lilia," he starts. "What could be bigger than the timeline?"
"The fuckin' universe,"
"The missing dogs, people," you note. "The lobsters."
"It's the opposite of the big bang," Lila remarks.
"Instead of the universe expanding" you start.
"It's now collapsing in on itself," finishes Five.
"Like a prolapsing rectum."
Your snort breaks the small silence.
"A weird analogy but yeah," Five mumbles.
"Well here," Lila hands Five a book. "This might give us some answers."
"The Master Handbook," Five and you whisper as Five snatches the book from Lila's hands.
"The one and only," you can hear the smile in her voice.
Five flips through the pages, looking for something specific. Yet coming up short, until you grab his hand.
"Wait," you tap your finger on the page. "This, this is it," Grandfather Paradox, is written in bold at the top of the page.
"Ah, here we are," he nods at you. "Thank you, darling, okay protocol," he reads off the page.
"In the unlikely case of the grandfather paradox," Five starts.
"-the Founder and any essential personnel should-," you continue.
"-be immediately reprimanded to the operations bunker," Lila finishes.
"The Founder," Five repeats.
"What founder," Lilia questioned as she looks at the book. "Ah ah take a look at this," she points to the bottom of the badge.
"And if the Founder cannot be found then please seek the Eye for help," you read off what she point to.
"Okay the Founder, the Eye," Lila complains. "Who are these people," she questions.
"I don't know," Five murmurs.
"Okay, well we need to find that bunker," you state.
"ASAP," your friends say simultaneously. Five closes the book and walks out the door you and Lila hot on his heels.
"Jinx," she begins. "A-B-C-1-2-3, personal padlock," she teases.
"Can you not-"
"You can't speak," Lila interrupts his sentence.
"All right," he sighs your snort following afterward.
Five leads your trio to the bunker, the floor is littered with broken lights, insulation, and more. The place reeks of moldy water, electricity, and tape. There are holes, where the ceiling has been ripped open or fallen in, and snow is falling through these holes. Onto the hair of you and your company, it's beautiful in a sense, the now greyscale room covered in a layer of a mixture of fallen ash and snow.
You take a glance at Five, and you're awestruck at the beauty of your lover. Wrong time, you know but you couldn't help it. With the snow and ash falling into his raven black hair, nose and ears slightly red from the cold air, the outside light making his green eyes seem blue.
Yeah, your man was gorgeous and you tell him that every day, and each time it brings a bit of blush to the top of his ears.
"Face it Five-,"
You didn't notice that Five and Lila were having their own conversation
"-apocalypse problems are the only things that get your heart pumping," there's snark in her tone.
Five lets out an irritable sigh.
"I don't know why people keep saying that," annoyance is present. "I don't actually like chaos."
You can see Five's pace slow down, the solemn feeling of the conversation weighing on his mind.
"I don't want disorder," you can hear his voice get lower. "I-I want retirement."
He takes a long glance at you.
"I want retirement with the love of my life."
Your eyes water a bit at the claim. Five is not a very sentimental man, at least not in ways where it's visible to others. He had trouble showing his empathy, so usually, it comes in form of insults and snark filled compliments.
Only a stranger would say that he was a heartless boy, but only the ones he let close could tell that Five would do anything for the ones he loves. Sometimes you wish his family would understand that.
"A normal life of groceries and taxes?" Lila snorts. "You, you, and your lover would simply die of boredom."
"Yeah, well, you're not exactly cut out for domestic bliss either, Lila," you snark as you sped past her.
" 'Course I'm bloody not," you hear a bit away.
"Thank god," Five yells back, by now you're next to Five hands linked together.
"I mean," you hear Lila's footsteps quicken from behind you. "maybe it's a tone thing."
"I don't know but," Lila walks in front of the two of you. "You could really work on the way your speak ya' know."
You notice that Five is severely sweating, you look at the back of his neck to see red marks on his neck. He's been scratching.
Oh shit
You pull Five back a little bit, eyes a bit frantic.
"Now are you gonna tell me why the hell you're sweating like hell," you whisper furiously. "Or you're scratching like you've been rubbed with some fuckin' poison ivy!"
"It's n-"
"And don't give me that it's nothing bullshit," you point a finger in his face. "Are you experiencing paradox psychosis?"
A fart from Five answers your question.
"Fuckin' hell Five," you sigh.
"Hey, at least I haven't the Homicidal rage step," he whispers back as he stretches his neck again.
"In a way you're right but you've passed 4 fucking steps already!"
Five ignores you as a small smile crosses his face.
"Why are you smiling you little pisspot," you hear Lila asks.
"It better be because you're getting over your psychosis," you growled.
"Close," his eyes glance above your heads.
Following his sight, see the rectal scanner of the what you can infer is the door of the operational bunker.
"Well, I'll be damned," you place your hand on the round door. Yet you quickly take your hand pack as you feel a strike of energy prick your hand.
"Well, this is what we came for," Lila strides up to the door. " 'm guessing sense I found the book, that I should open the door."
A beaming red light scans her right eye, and it doesn't take long before a robotic voice speaks.
ACCESS: DENIED, NOT IMPORTANT PERSONNEL
A scoff leaves the woman's lips, a bit appalled. She quickly backs up and pushes your body forward.
"Okay, the most tolerable one goes first." Lila mutters, "who knows, you might be important personnel."
With some hesitation, you take a step closer to the door. You flinch as the red light scans your eye. The robotic voice speaks once again.
ACCESS GRANTED: NEED THE SECOND PART TO OPEN.
"Second part," you muttered confused as you backed away from the door.
"Well go on little shit," Lila should shives Five forward. "You're next."
Five rolls his eyes as he stiffly stands in front of the door. He doesn't flush as the red light scans his eye.
ACCESS GRANTED: SECOND PART ACCEPTED.
The door opens with a hiss, revealing a bright white and light blue room.
"Of course you're both important personnel," Lila says bitterly.
Five walks in the room first, his tense posture relaxing slightly. You enter after, walking ahead of him, scanning the room. Lila enters quickly after you stopping near a table with magazines and a red and white chair.
On the table stood a vase and in that vase stood some Phaius Orchids. You're favorite. They looked relatively fresh as if they were stuck in time.
You choose to walk further into the room. Your head swiveling to every corner of the room, locs in your high ponytail swishing with each turn. You can feel your eyebrow twitch as your eyes practically spot nothing wrong.
Not a single thing is out of place. There's not even a spec of dust anywhere.
Well besides the room itself.
"What's so important about this room is that it needed two rental scans to open," you mutter as you stuff your hands into your pockets.
