Date Night - Last Night
Have some AU - goodies from last year. I am making some space on my Google Drive.
There is a reason Ever should never feel anything.
It was late Friday night, very much close to 1 am, when now 15 year old Lewis walked Ever - his girlfriend of 3 years to her doors after their date.
“Thanks, babe…” Lewis leaned down and kissed Ever’s cheek, blushing slightly.
The date was mostly movie and some junk food plus going to a piercer. Lewis wanted another piercing in his ear.
He already had a few piercings on his body. And was already sketching down his ideas for tattoos he’d get later. It was so awesome he could just talk to Ever about it! She was always interested in it and she was acting really cool when he was being pierced.
He wondered if she’d accompany him with his first tattoo… They could like… be each other’s firsts… His mind went somewhere between dreamy and horny. He was getting to that age...
“It was not a problem, Lewis.” Ever answered with a small smile.
“Yeah…” he shifted on his feet. “So… I will see you tomorrow, right?”
“Yes, most certainly.”
Damn she had such a hot voice… He grinned stupidly. Some people found her creepy. Even when she wore non gothic lolitta clothes. But he found her absolutely cute. Bit dark and… mysterious. Hot.
During the time she tried to adjust her body to look as if she was maturing. Changing little details here and there. She still was petite but getting more 15/16 look.
“Then I better go… Mom will have my head when I will get back.” he cleared his throat. He was still fidgeting on his feet, it was sure he was making an attempt to leave but was kind of failing.
Ever watched him intensely. What he was doing?
Finally he bent down and pressed a kiss on her lips. “Good night!” he wanted to run off but found himself being held back by her hand around his wrist.
Damn he could never surprise her! Or… was she mad about the kiss? Please God don’t let her be maaaad~!
“Lewis…” she started and pushed her hair behind her ear. Green eyes drilling holes in him.
“Yes?” he squeaked.
Suddenly she stood on her tiptoes and pressed a sweet kiss to his lips, wrapping her arms around his neck. His cheeks grew 50 shades of street light red, but wrapped his arms around her waist, his heart melting. His girlfriend was kissing him back… And she wasn’t doing this too often. This mean she cared right? Right?!
Then they parted to get some air. At least he did.
“See you tomorrow.” she said and went inside the apartment, leaving him with an idiot smile upon his face.
The doors closed behind Ever with a soft click. She rubbed a spot over the left side of her chest and grimaced, walking further inside of the apartment.
Margot was gone… most likely spending time with Stigandr. Tom was out…. most likely spending time with his current girlfriend.
She was home alone, so she walked up to the couch, taking her tablet, and curled up on it,hugging her pillow.
The pain in her chest was getting worse, month by month, week by week, day by day. She was ignoring it… but it was getting too hard to ignore.
She didn’t move when a rustle sounded from the far corner of the room. Suddenly a Chronicler in it’s real form emerged from it. Unlike Ever it was red, looking like a solidified flame, it’s wings sharp as razors. It walked up to her.
“You are decaying.” the voice was like a screech of fingernails over the chalkboard. “It’s the human.”
“I am not. It’s nothing.” Ever denied passively typing something over the tablet.
Chronicler lowered it’s head, and sniffed her. “I can smell it. Hear it in you… You are no longer.”
The green eyes raised up to look at a dirty rag, covering the creatures eyes.
“Then we have are our laws. Be it how it has to be.” she said slowly.
The Chronicler shook it’s head and snarled at the black haired figure. “You be replaced.”
“As you always wished for.” she replied and the beast started to leave.
Soon she was alone in the apartment.
The next morning.
“I’m hoooome!” Margot called from the doors, taking off her shoes and hanging her jacket on the hanger. She was walking funny. “Eveeerrrrr…. Where is fooood!” she walked to the kitchen looking around.
The Chronicler was nowhere to be seen. The blonde shrugged and heated up for herself some Burritos. With the plate in hand she walked up to the sofa when she spotted the dust and the tablet. She put her food down on the coffee table and reached for the tablet.
“Holy shit…” she read what was on the screen and looked at the dust that was spread practically all over the couch. It was black, shining slightly when the sun reached it. Like a dust from precious gemstones.
Margot sat on the coffee table mindful not to sit on her food. “Fuck…”
On the tablet’s screen was a message with a picture attached to it. The picture presented Lewis and Ever in a photo booth. Lewis with some silly face and Ever with a tiny little smile upon her face that for the first time in her existence reached her eyes, making them sparkly like emeralds in the sun.
Lewis
You are probably the only human I could say that I felt something for. Thank you for your time.
Ever.
