𝗦𝗛𝗘'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡 he’s expecting to see in such a venue; to be fair, he’s just as stuck out like a sore thumb here, too, the ring not the way he typically spends his friday nights. but this is different — see, he’s outside the ring, and the girl in question is in it, kicking seriously major ass. eyes can’t help but widen at the sight, christopher’s gaze wholly fixated on the winner of the round with a mix of sheer and utter shock as well as familiarity; now there’s a face he doesn’t see everyday ( in fact, hasn’t seen at all since almost, what ? a decade ago ? ). it’s for that very reason he stays behind, hands drumming against his side in his pockets in anticipation and nerves, only to move restlessly when same familiar frame appears in his peripheral once more. “blue reynolds.” he calls out in spite of himself; her name rolls off of tongue like goddamn muscle memory, after all. cautiously, the director steps into the light, in order for her to get a closer look at him. “you’re, uh .. hi.” so THIS is where you’ve been all these years ! he means to say — but boy holds tongue, instead offering the other a smile to mask complete incredulity; it’s not every day he bumps into a former leading lady turned apparent boxing champ, after all. / @fivscos
