Pairs Well With…Walker Lukens, Dilly Dally, Foster the People

FIX8 previewed his debut record last year with “Oil & Water”, a lightly groovy indie pop number with strong, hooked songwriting right out of the gate. Warm synths, sparse enough for comfort but sharp enough for a memorable, bouncy chorus, lay the foundation of “Oil & Water”, hinting at a dance pop build while leading into the track’s coda. FIX8’s music is constantly catchy and passionate with some modern rock aplomb, quickly accessible from this under-the-radar, local talent.
