Kinda random but I've always found the 'quirklessness as a metaphor for disability' thing so difficult to understand because while I understand the idea, quirks are so diverse that it seems difficult to imagine.
Like, is there really a difference between you and the guy whos ability is changing the colour of his nails? If I had to choose a real life thing to compare it to, it would be something like aromanticism. Since it focuses less on being incapable of doing something everyone else can (since quirks are different for everyone) and more on not having something everyone else does (since no matter quirk, people still have one)
To be clear, I have nothing against the trope, I'm genuinely just wondering what the idea stems from
