to add on to your other Vaggie post: someone on reddit called Vaggie a ‘sanctimonious asshole,’ yet had nothing to say about adam and lute, his favorite characters. The hypocrisy when it comes to Vaggie is baffling.
Vaggie is neither sanctimonious, nor is she an asshole. She actually owns her flaws and takes accountability for her actions, something that neither adam nor lute ever do.
Hypothetically, let’s say she does act like a holier-than-thou character; she was brought up in Heaven by Adam (and presumably Sera), so I’m sure she has been told that as an Angel, she’ll always be better than demons and sinners alike. Just look at how Mr. and Mrs. “Angels Don’t Make Mistakes” act. If she is as ‘sanctimonious’ as that person said, can you blame her?
I expect nothing less from the adam/lute/gu*tarspe*r fans that think their favorite characters can do no wrong. (And for the ones who are gonna try to jump down my throat, re-read the previous sentence. Note how I’m not saying that they’re all like this?)
Of course the (I assume) straight white male and white woman get less flack and more passes/excuses than the Latina lesbian. This fandom—and fandoms in general—is built on bigotry, so.
