Why are so many people in this fandom obsessed with Vaggi getting cheated on?

They say that it’ll make Chaggie “more interesting” and will “help Vaggi find out who she is outside of her relationship,” nevermind the fact that it’ll be extremely out of character for Charlie to even do that, and while there will be conflict, that specific conflict will be permanent.

Also, we all know that Vaggi is insecure, so what good will it do to have her be cheated on? She’ll more likely than not get depressed and do Heaven knows what to herself. And if she doesn’t go that route, her self-esteem will be in the trenches even more! Again, what good will it do to have her be cheated on?

Vaggi’s just gonna be a depressed and withdrawn mess, Chaggie will be ruined, and all the attention will still only be on Charlie for cheating, so again…how will this help Vags and Chaggie in the long run? Honestly, it just seems like more surface-level Vaggi hate with extra steps.

And it’s so-called Chaggie fans that I’ve seen support this horrible idea, too. Not only do I see it from Vaggi/Chaggie haters, but there are ‘fans’ of the ship that want it to happen, too?

Of all the things you all could come up with, this is how you think Chaggie will “get more interesting?” Not every relationship needs infidelity to be interesting—just say you have a limited-ass view on relationships (queer ones at that). If people aren’t getting wet at the idea of Vaggi dying, it’s the idea of her being cheated on.

I know you guys don’t like her, but damn. 🙄

It’s really interesting how men can have unconventional features and still be considered attractive, but the moment a woman has anything other than Eurocentric features, they’re deemed ugly or even hideous. Ever since Sir Pentious’s human design was revealed in episode two, I’ve been thinking about how people were fawning over it and his nose in particular. That’s great; it really is.

My problem is, these are the same people who were calling Vaggi ‘ugly’ because of her nose and even had the nerve to say she was “done wrong” because of her hooked nose shape. Now that you see a man with this nose, all of a sudden you like it and think it’s attractive? Are you serious? And now, these people that were calling Vaggi ugly are pretending that they like that kind of nose on her, otherwise they risk looking like hypocrites since they were drooling over Pentious’s (but they’re hypocritical either way).

It just really shows how disgustingly biased fandoms are with women.

rlly fascinating phenomenon to me is when a character is extremely popular, and that popularity seems understandable enough because they've got something interesting going on, and then you look at the fandom and realize 99% of their fans don't actually care about engaging with any of the things that make them interesting and instead seem to be fans of an imaginary milquetoast version that exists solely for ship and/or angst content and is so far removed from the canon character they might as well be an unrelated OC at this point
