you ever notice how, of everyone nightfall could have "fallen in love with", it was twilight who, being a spy and her superior, is unattainable, but still within her workplace and therefore the least likely person she would get in trouble for being attracted to? i.e., the safest option available? makes you think

anyway it's pre-relationship and pre-reveal for twiyor, nightfall decides to try and sabotage yor by getting close to her and earning her trust to try and find any secrets she can use against her

twilight sees straight through nightfall immediately and has to try and balance between keeping the peace & staying professional and trying to warn yor off of getting close to fiona

(without making it look like he's sleeping with fiona)

(and also trying to dissuade fiona from doing this without voicing any assumptions he has about her feelings)

anyway because yor is charming, oblivious and earnest, she gradually wins fiona over without ever revealing anything fiona could use against her

through all this fiona has to face some hard truths about the way she feels about loid vs the way she feels about yor

eventually she can't bear to be cruel to yor like this any more and decides to befriend her in earnest

she goes behind loid's back and tells her she knows about the fake marriage thing

fiona and yor hook up. what more do u need
