There's something very beautiful about a vampire show, which places such a high importance on blood (which is inherent to the vampire genre), having one of the strongest bonds on the show be between a mother and son who are not blood related.

Literally can't think of a single piece of vampire media that isn't cheesy! There's not a one! It doesn't exist!

I've watched Buffy, True Blood, Carmilla, The Originals. I've watched Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned, The Hunger, Twilight, the Underworld franchise. I've read Dracula, The Moth Diaries, 'Salem's Lot, Certain Dark Things, the books True Blood were based on, and currently making my way through The Strain trilogy.

I've been reading and watching vampire media my entire goddamn life!

The whole vampire genre is cheesy and trashy to it's core! If it's not, you're doing it wrong!!
