Sucks seeing those posts on insta about "not my florida" where people show the beautiful sides of Florida's alt and queer cultures and communities but its always places like orlando and Jacksonville which are just not really doable for us fl alt people who live far away. We have no local spaces and it's taking a toll on us. I'd say, I'd love to make one but that takes time and money and planning and building, none of which I have the ability to do. My whole life I thought it was me, but the older I get the more I realize there just aren't as many spaces for people like me to meet up and it makes me sad.
