Lady Deirdre Grey, the Relentless Dowager

44- she/her- Irish

Lady Grey is one to dedicate herself with impressive stubbornness to the most disparate of activities, from cryptozoology to revolutionary causes, to game nights at the Blind Helmsman, to baking and occasional womanising.

Her distaste for polite society suggests a working class background, which would explain the chain of events that led her to inheriting her late husband’s title, as well as a tireless quest to avenge him.  In doing so, however, she’s beginning to feel at home and build a new life for herself in the Neath.

Bellamy De Winter, the Charming Deserter

23- they/he- French-German

A dashing young fellow armed with an immaculate smile, Bellamy De Winter waltzes their way through London between piano recitals at Mahogany Hall, society soirees and less than legal activities that the Foreign Office of London should probably not know about.

Bell is easily bored and easily swayed with promises of freedom and excitement, which is usually bad news for someone in their line of work. So far they’ve gotten by with their charm and guile, but for how much longer?

My girl needed new kicks after becoming a monster hunter (as if I need an excuse to put her in more outfits) THEREFORE-

I'd made an alt account a while ago but hadn't really figured out what the character was gonna be like, but now I think I've got a solid grip on them! So without further ado, lemme introduce you to my new shady bastard-

A charming, immaculately dressed young fellow seemingly pops out of nowhere in Fallen London, armed only with their shining smile, perfectly faked credentials and a vaguely European accent resembling that of a certain fictitious Republic...

Ladies, gentlemen, and mysterious and indistinct friends, meet

Sometimes you've got to take a break from the busy life of a Londoner to read a romance novel with a cat on your lap. That's just how it is sometimes.

(Also fun fact- the book she's reading is Belinda by Maria Edgeworth- this novel was even mentioned in Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey, and known for featuring an interracial romance)

Threw together a quick n dirty ref for Deirdre’s scars and body shape (and to show off the buff mom bod hehe)

There's probably more scratches and scuffs, but alas, I've only got the Big Plot Relevant Ones down for certain.

From the top down, we got:

- the burn scars, mostly on her face and arms, from the Big Trauma;

- the scars from the mirror incident at Mrs. Plenty's carnival aka her first ever death;

- the mark from the Eater of Chains, who bit her ankle like a naughty dog;
