"yeah, yeah, just laugh it up," eyes roll and steve gestures vaguely with one hand before it drops to his hip. it really was just one STRIKE-OUT after another. he still does his best to portray confidence, but he does wonder if he's ... lost his touch a little bit. almost like it's not so easy to move on like normal after the last few years ... y'know, happened. "oh yeah, totally -- the next one," he adds [ 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚝𝚘𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚍 ], as he moves to start absently putting returned videos back on the shelf.

the small teenager is curled into herself as best as she can be, trying to shrink into obscurity. some curls are plastered to her head & shoulders, the sticky remnants of someone's idea of a funny joke still dripping down her face. carmen had been in the bathroom when annette all but burst in, teary-eyed & dripping with a peer's soda. somehow, annette found herself assisted by the other. "y-y-yeah, b-but -- um. y-you. d ... d-don-n't have to. th - this ... i-i-isn-n't th-that b-b-bad."

Max didn't normally accept gifts, but her love for Dig Dug was overtaking her hesitancy.

he wants to laugh , give some witty line , but he knows carmen is suffering too . so instead he just shrugs his shoulders & takes a fresh cigarette from the packet . ❝ not great . ❞ he answers honestly , watching the rest of the group plan together . eddie has spent most of his life feeling like an outsider & that's exactly how he feels now . they've all done this before & he feels like he's severely lagging behind .
