I might be mistaken but it seems like the shippers are flagging your posts because i can’t find them under the anti sessrin tag
Ah, this is what's known as a "BFS", or "Big F**king Surprise" in long form, lol!
There's very likely nothing I can do about that, so I'm not inclined to worry about it too much. That's just kind of what happens when people feel threatened by what you have to say and know there's no way they can persuade you to stop talking. *shrug*
Tumblr, please stop tagging Martin Shaw as NSFW. He’s pretty, but not that pretty.
From the bottom of my heart can I just say...
Fuck Tumblr.
Fuck you forever.
Now, this is actually not a new story, it’s an old story, but after I wanted to go down memory lane to queue some posts, I could not help but stumble over Tumblr and its most wondrous tiddy ban all over.
So yes, fuck it, fuck it hard, even if it’s already an old problem growing gray hairs.
Despite the supposedly “handy” tool to navigate the tiddy ban at last, a tool meant to show you which posts Tumblr is suspicious about to feature, mayhaps, a side boob or some really *perky* mountaintops one could *certainly* mistake for a lady’s bosom... I just spent the last hour going through my old posts after I already sieved through that some time back, only to find approximately 20 of my moodboards and other imagesets tagged and made invisible.
I still have to go over to see for more, apparently, because they don’t show up in the designated spot of “review flagged posts.”
And that is the old problem still putting on new clothes to this day.
You know, showing me only three posts that have been flagged but not all the others that have *also* been flagged and then sending me a notification via e-mail for having detected “adult content” on my blog only to show me those three posts I have accepted you find in violation with your tiddy ban is an old joke that’s not even funny anymore.
You know, this is your club, I am aware that by signing up to your club I have to live with your rules, even if I don’t necessarily agree with them (I really don’t because your guidelines fail to do what they are meant to do), I understand that this is the price I have to pay to keep using the services you provide.
However.
It pisses me off that you present yourself to me (and others) as providing tools that are meant to make this at least manageable. I don’t have as much of a problem with hitting the appeal button as I have with not knowing that there is a post I’d have to appeal for.
It pisses me off that you leave me in the “certainty” that I reviewed my flagged posts. You created an extra subsection for that and one should be able to assume that such a feature would show you... ALL flagged posts and give bloggers on this website a chance to appeal to abide your funny-not-funny tiddy ban. But even that you don’t manage. Instead, a longtime blogger, someone you may have a vested interest in staying in your club, has to go through months and years worth of posts to see where there is suddenly a post one would have to appeal for to make it visible again.
Granted, once someone appeals, you are fairly quick by now to have them restored or at least make a decision on the matter, but *why* can’t you seem to manage how many months into the times of the tiddy ban to make it manageable for bloggers to hit the appeal button the moment they check out *all the posts* that have been flagged?
Is it because you build on it that people don’t go back over their old posts?
Or is it because, despite your insistence to the contrary, you just don’t care?
Because yes, I am more than aware that behind this doe snot sit a team of nice fellows hoping to build a platform just for the betterment of the world. This app, this website, this service, is a platform meant to generate maximum profit, it is a corporation that has interests that have nothing to do with being there for the people they provide services for. That interest is money. Period.
I get that.
I honestly do. You are a business. I signed up to your services and so I have to live with it that your club turns shittier by the day. It’s not like you force me to stay and granted, you still provide a service I want to keep for many reasons that outweigh my frustration with the lack of services in most other areas of the tools you provide.
However, at the very least, if you can’t manage to get child pornography, hate speech, antisemitism, islamophobia, and right-wing, nazi bullcrap off your website with the devices at your disposal... is it asked that much to show me just what your funny algorithm finds wrong all at once so I can appeal it instead of playing tag? Because I find it even more tiresome than dealing with the fact that this corporation prioritizes in least effort for supposed maximum profit when it neither tackles the core problem nor aids those who have stayed with this service through better and worse... though mostly worse.
And so, from the bottom of my heart, if you write me this in nearly 20 e-mails automatically:
We apologize for the error but know that you’re helping to make these kinds of mistakes happen less often.
Well, start making it better and find better ways for us to deal with your private club’s rules.
So yeah... get fucked and get your shit together.
Even though, I know, no one will read this, no one will care, but I just need to say it because these are the tools you grant me and so I use them, even if it is no more than a shout into the void.
Kind regards,
a user just about done with this shit.
someone wanna tell me why my post with marinette pulling nino's arm got flagged as explicit content but a gay porn account followed me without any of their posts receiving sort of flagging or reprimanding lol
tumblr get it together, this is really annoying.
Made a post about Steven Universe, Tumblr instantly flagged it!! There was nothing wrong! No violations, no nothing, so I put forward a new name for this ridiculous website...
Dumblr
If you would, please reblog, I wanna know if this name'll catch on
*I think it's actually so stupid that if you come across a post flagged for something, you can't see any tags or text until you unblock it. Idk what you're keeping me from seeing ... Is it a dick or is it artistic nudity of some character I admire ? Is it straight real boobs or just ... Idk . Fake blood .
LOL! I just had a very G-rated post flagged as adult content. Family-friendly GIF and text. A swing and a miss, Tumblr. Then again, the post was about one aspect of being an adult.
It looks like it was un-flagged fast, since it was an obvious error, at least. I have to commend them for quick corrections. To a problem that shouldn’t exist, but it’s an improvement over slow corrections.
