The finished flag! I didn't make my June deadline, didn't finish til early August, actually, but I'm working on giving myself a better schedule, sticking to it, making deadlines and sticking to them. I'm improving myself one step at a time. This really turned into a wonderful project that let me play with themes outside of my control. And even though each stripe has its own unique style they are cohesive non the less. The blue stripe just might be my favorite! I wanted to continue experimenting with the kinds of shapes i could make with dots and i thought i would work on a square of sorts. The colors for the pink stripe were actually inspired by an animated show, but looking at them now I can't help but get ice cream shop vibes! It's been a while! I was off in Orlando, Florida for a week, then a week in the UP (upper peninsula of Michigan) at Picture Rocks. It was nice to get away on vacation, but I caught covid in between my trips, and that really messed up my routine. But now I'm back with a backlog of updates on my LGBTQ+ flag, so look forward to seeing the finished product soon! Just a quick update on the progress of my flag. Didn't get to post yesterday like I promised because I helped a friend move. Progress on the pride flag! I was painting from 11 AM to 7 PM and honestly wanted to quit before then (sore back) but pressed on because I was so close to finishing the blue stripe. I really want to finish this within the next week, but given how long it took to paint just the triskele and accents on the blue stripe, I'm not sure how feasible that is.
