I always thought Testa and Shinee were simply not a good match. He’s too robotic and Shinee is, well, not? I like the lighter, more flowing choreographies better too.

that and I think ppl tent to equate aggressive and sharp movements with quality as well somehow. When keeping the tension up while being graceful or generally “flowy” requires a lot of skill...

There is so many small parts in view that stand out. And I think there more live performances we get the more we will notice because of course there is limited camera time for each member and at some points they all do something different from each other and there is no way to see it all in one performance.
