i made both of them for essentially twin superhero rp servers, but i made them as different as they could be and they're hella fun! a bit about them:

Ares: High school dropout bounced around between foster homes before leaving at 18. Hella smart with computers, and uses his knowledge to broker information and do security work - from the villain side. He was forced into the villain life due to his home circumstances and poverty, and is desperately trying to leave the life behind. His superpower is actually related to none of this - he can create explosions from his palms. However, it hurts him in the process and is extremely dangerous and volatile, so he never uses it.

Athena: Prodigy engineer that went into university to study micromachines. As a technopath, he gained government authorization to use his power for his research as part of his degree, but it backfired and fused his one and only sample of nanites to his entire body. Now he's more connected with his technology than ever, able to transform his limbs into giant tools and weapons (a la Generator Rex,) but at the price of being monitored by the government 24/7 and blackmailed into hero work.
