Is it my first time DMing for two different groups and I love how each took a different route from the first part of the first arc, this is why I love dnd, no matter what, you cannot predict what your players will do.

Can you imagine being friends with someone who hates everybody and trust no one?
They hate physical affection but they feel comfortable around you because you respect that, notnlike everyone else.
Then, after months of friendship, you gather enough courage to do the next step, you call her name and she looks at you, then, you caress her cheek gently.
They look at you in shock, you both stare at each other for a bit before tears run down their cheeks.
You ask what's wrong, they answer "I never thought... I'd be so starved for... physical affection... s-so much until... until... n-..."Before they could finish, they break into tears...
That cold, one sided person, the grumpy of the class, the "ice queen/king", showed you a side of them they've never shown to anybody, not even their parents.
Without thinking, you pull them into a hug, they hug back, sobbing on your shoulder and quietly whispering "Thank you" over and over.
You stay silent until they finish, then you see it... A bright, colorful and beautiful smile on their face... the first... of many.
