Flammable Hats || Tonraq ||
A/n: Less learned...also Korra calling ready mommy soon!
The council chamber was warm...too warm, Tonraq thought, though he knew it wasn’t the temperature. It was the way the air tightened with politics, with stiff-backed elders and long-winded speeches that seemed to go nowhere. He stood tall, arms loosely folded behind his back, nodding at appropriate intervals as one particularly passionate councilman droned on about trade routes and harbor expansions.
“Yes, Chief Tonraq, you must understand—”
“I do,” Tonraq said evenly, his voice calm, steady… controlled.
Because if he looked anywhere but directly at the man in front of him, he was going to lose that control entirely.
Behind the councilman, just over his shoulder—stood you.
And next to you…
Little Korra.
Tonraq kept his expression neutral. Completely neutral. Not a flicker. Not a twitch.
Because you were not behaving. At first, it had been harmless.
A tiny flame danced between your fingers, no bigger than a candle’s glow, flickering as Korra watched with wide, delighted eyes. You wiggled your fingers, making it twist and spiral, small designs that made Korra let out a soft giggle, as she clapped her little hands.
Tonraq’s jaw tightened.
The councilman continued speaking. “And if we allocate resources to—”
The flame grew, just a little....Then a little more.
You smiled proudly, clearly showing off now, shaping it into a tiny spinning ring that hovered above your palm. Korra gasped in awe.
Tonraq stared straight ahead, he did not look.He absolutely did not....and then the flame sparked.
Then a tiny, traitorous flick.Right onto the councilman’s very tall, very decorative, very flammable hat.
Tonraq’s soul left his body.
“…and that is why I believe—” and the man kept talking. He did not notice that the top of his hat, however, was now on fire.
Tonraq inhaled slowly through his nose.
Do not react.
Do not react.
Behind the man, you froze.
Your eyes widened.Your mouth dropped open in silent horror. You looked at the flame… then at Korra… then back at the flame, which was now growing. You waved your hands at it thinking it might snuff out the flame.
Bad choice.
The fire whooshed slightly bigger.
Tonraq pressed his lips together so hard they nearly disappeared.
The councilman kept going. “And furthermore—”
You silently screamed.
Actually screamed, just without sound, your entire face scrunching in panic as you looked around wildly for a solution. Your hands fluttered uselessly for a moment before you grabbed at the air again, trying to fan it out.
It got worse.
Much worse.
The hat was now fully aflame.
Korra clapped again. “Oh pretty!”
Tonraq’s shoulders tensed.
You looked like you were about to cry. Then—suddenly your eyes locked onto something across the room.
A bucket of water, a bucket of hope.
You lunged.
Tonraq saw it happen in slow motion.
You grabbed the bucket with both hands, nearly tripping over your own feet, then rushed back and
SPLASH.
You dumped the entire thing over the councilman’s head.
The fire went out instantly and the whole room went silent.
Water dripped from the man’s soaked robes… his ruined hat now slumped pathetically on his head, smoke curling up into the air.
Tonraq closed his eyes briefly, as if accepting his fate.
Behind the man, you stood there, frozen… bucket still in your hands… staring like a deer caught in headlights and then you pointed.
Sharp. Accusing.
“HE DID IT!”
Your finger shot toward a completely innocent guard holding a torch across the room.
The guard blinked, horrified. “What—?!”
But you were already moving.
In one swift motion, you grabbed Korra, hoisted her under your arm like a sack of flour, and bolted.
Korra squealed in delight. “We’re flying!”
You were not flying.
You were running for your life.
The chamber doors slammed open as you disappeared down the hall then slowly creaked back to close.
Silence lingered for exactly three seconds.
Then all eyes slowly turned to Tonraq.
Water continued dripping.
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
Tonraq exhaled slowly, straightened, and finally looked at the utterly soaked councilman in front of him, a moment of silence stretched on then with a completely serious, completely composed, Tonraq said,
“…You should wear less flammable hats.”
The room erupted.
I have two ideas for the reader legend of Korra.
Idea 1.
fire nation princess!reader
She's Iroh's sister or daughter. She is not a bender, but she studied martial arts like her grandmother Mai and Ty Lee. Most likely, she studied with them. She is sent to help the avatar in Republic City, where she meets the Avatar's team.
Idea 2.
Beifong!reader
She's Lin's only daughter. Lin raised her as a strong fighter and taught her everything she knows from childhood. She has grown up to be one of the strongest earth benders of her Generation, which is why she is compared to her which is why she is compared to her grandmother. When Amon appears in the city, she decides to help Korra.
I will write small sketches of my ideas and yours on these readers. You can offer me anything you want.
Ohhhh..... Why are there so few interesting fanfiction or stories in lok, I can't find anything...😔
I keep getting nervous about posting that fic for Bumi cause I am worried its just gonna flop 😩
She's Adorable.....I want her || Korra ||
A/n: It makes me upset she get's so much hate :/
The first time Korra saw you, she didn’t even hear what Mako was saying.
Which was saying something, because Mako was currently mid-rant about triad activity, pacing like he was personally about to arrest the entire city.
But Korra being Korra had already stopped listening.
Because you had just walked into Air Temple Island.
And then immediately tripped over absolutely nothing.
Korra blinked.
You stumbled forward with a startled noise, arms flailing, barely catching yourself on a nearby table—except in doing so, your sleeve brushed against a lantern.
There was a whoosh.
The curtain behind it went up in flames.
Silence.
Then
“Oh my god,” Korra whispered, eyes wide.
Across the room, Bolin snorted so hard he nearly choked. “No way...she’s on fire....she’s actually on fire—”
“I-I’m so sorry!” you squeaked, panicking as you patted at the flames with your hands which only made it worse.
Mako groaned, already moving. “Seriously?! We just fixed those—”
A blast of water cut through the air, dousing the fire instantly.
Korra stood there, arm still extended from the waterbending motion, staring at you like she’d just discovered something life-changing.
You, meanwhile, were frozen in place, wide-eyed, hair slightly singed, hands clasped together like you were about to apologize to the entire world.
“I didn’t mean to—! I just...there was a....my foot—and then the curtain...and I—”
“You’re adorable.”
You stopped.
Mako stopped.
Bolin wheezed.
“…what?” you asked softly.
Korra took a step closer, completely ignoring the very real chaos you had just caused. “You just tripped, set something on fire, and apologized like you committed a war crime.”
“I did commit a war crime,” you whispered, horrified, glancing at the now very damp, slightly smoking curtain.
“You didn’t,” Mako deadpanned.
Korra pointed at you like she’d made a decision. “I’m gonna ask her out.”
“What—?!” Mako snapped, whipping around to stare at her. “Korra, she just lit the building on fire!”
“That makes her even more adorable,” Korra said instantly, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “I want her.”
Your face grew warm, your eyes went wide. “Y-you want....what—?”
Bolin clapped his hands together, grinning. “Haha! Go Korra, go!”
“Korra,” Mako hissed, dragging a hand down his face. “You can’t just decide you want someone like that!”
“Yes I can,” Korra shot back, not taking her eyes off you for a second. “Hi. I’m Korra.”
You blinked at her, still flustered. “I....I know who you are.”
“Good,” she said, smiling like she’d already won something. “Because I’m asking you out.”
Mako made a strangled noise. “You didn’t even learn her name—!”
“I’m working on it,” Korra waved him off, stepping even closer to you. “So? What’s your name?”
You swallowed, fidgeting with your sleeves. “…Y/N.”
“Y/N,” Korra repeated, like she was testing how it felt. Her grin softened just a little. “Yeah. I like that.”
You tried to respond.
Instead, you stepped back.
And immediately tripped again.
Korra moved fast, catching you before you hit the ground, one arm wrapping securely around your waist.
For a second, everything stilled.
Your hands instinctively grabbed onto her shoulders, eyes wide as you looked up at her close, very close now.
“Oh,” Korra breathed, staring at you like this was somehow even better. “Yep. Definitely asking you out.”
“I—” you started, voice small. “I’m so sorry—”
“You’re not allowed to apologize while I’m holding you,” Korra said firmly.
Mako turned away. “I’m done. I’m actually done.”
Bolin leaned over to him, whispering loudly, “She’s gonna marry her.”
“She met her thirty seconds ago!”
“And?” Bolin shrugged. “Look at her.”
Korra, meanwhile, hadn’t let go of you. “…So,” she said, softer now, but still confident. “Do you like noodles?”
You blinked. “…I…yes?”
“Great,” Korra said immediately. “We’re going on a date.”
You stared at her then slowly nodded your head.“…okay.”
Mako groaned into his hands.
Bolin cheered.
And Korra smiled like she’d just won the easiest fight of her life still holding onto you like she had absolutely no intention of letting go anytime soon.
im kinda brain dumping cause this is my first time doing fics in general but, how would y'all feel about a Korra fic? like smut and stuff? or kuvira 😍 or any lok woman. i cant be the only one insanely attracted to them
What if in either atla or the leguend of korra, yn is the first to ever be able to bend 2 elements because of their parents being from different nations. I see yn bending elements that are direct opposite from eachother, water and fire or air and earth. Im focusing on water and fire.
With atla I see yn being part of the same tribe as katara and soka. Maybe yn's mom ran away from the fire nation because of what they were doing, ended up in the southern water tribe, and meets yns father. Later when the fire nation came, they didn't just kill katara and soka's mom, but both of yn's parents. Yn's parents made sure to hide yn's existence from them. The tribe made sure to take care of yn. Yn helps around as best as they can. They only use their fire to help the tribe. When zuko arrived at the southern tribe, he saw that yn can control water and fire when they were protecting their family. He decided to not only take the avatar, but also yn. Yn never lies about their abilities and is as up front about it as they can.
Got nothing with lok
