Has Byron ever been in a serious relationship?

considering he seems to never have been married or boasts no children, i will go ahead and say no. at least never one that was long lasting anyway. he's probably entertained some relationships largely to keep up appearances while he was still living in rosaria with his family, but the moment he moved to port isolde to become warden there and was given some modicum of freedom from expectations as long as he fulfilled his duties as that warden, he's remained as a bachelor. that isn't to say there never was any interest from other parties, but byron was happy enough spending his money on his nephews and helping out the people of kanver.

the largest reason for this being, of course, the fact that he is gay. i am going to go ahead and say he has probably also entertained male partners during his sojourns, but never anything serious either.

There is delight in the feeling of Mythos' frantic, delicate little pulse fluttering away beneath his own rough and calloused hands. Killing him is the furthest thought from Barnabas' mind, of course, but who could dare tell him not to play with his food?

And play, he shall.

"Mythos." he purrs, lips close enough to brush against the warm skin of Mythos' ear. The struggle is expected, but Barnabas knows it will not last long with no oxygen to feed the movements of his body.

"Breathe," he says, as if it is the most obvious solution to this little problem. "The answer is a simple one. Just breathe."

" SERIOUSLY, i thought i just saw you here a minute ago. " it was more like two weeks ago, but a certain someone is just too much of a frequent visitor.

" does it hurt anywhere? if it does, you better tell me, alright? or else i'll have to poke it out myself and that will hurt. oh, and the bandages too - if it comes loose, don't try to tie it yourself, you're going to get it wrong. we can't have you dying to infection of all things when it unravels. and, promise, this is the last thing - tell me if you need anything, it's my job. "

Is there any food Jill doesn't like?

i don't think there's a lot jill wouldn't eat if given to her, but i will headcanon that she has a hard time handling anything too spicy. i doubt they gave her anything more than bland fare or just enough to keep her going whilst enslaved by the iron kingdom and rosaria before that doesn't strike me as a nation well known for it's spicy food either like, let's say dhalmekia or kanver would be. maybe the north did, but it's so long ago she hardly remembers anything and since then her taste buds have likely forgotten how to handle spices.

"Such conceited words from one like yourself," Benedikta snaps, arms crossed 'neath her chest as she watches the other Dominant. Conceited, and arrogant. She's not the same damsel in distress that she was once upon a time, when she was taken in by Cidolfus. That small girl that knew not how to fight, could scarcely hurt a fly, and curled up in a corner whilst shaking in fear. No, she's Garuda now ━ the savage Eikon tearing through her enemies without an ounce mercy.

The savage Eikon leashed by only the King of Waloed. She feels his hand around her throat even now, warning her to not waste a single thought on betraying him the way Cidolfus did. She's not blind to her own plight, even if she likes to turn her gaze elsewhere. Oh, at this point she may as well have fastened these shackles around her wrists herself, all in favor of attaining power that, eventually, shall lead to her true freedom. One in which she needn't obey a man's order. And if not that… Then the world shall perish, and it'd be perfectly fine, as well.

A flick of her wrist summons a talon, ready to pierce the man in front of her. "I don't need your wisdom, little lamb, or your pity, and I don't need you acting as though you know me, either. It's rather ━ vexing."

The egi's lips curve into a smile hearing Mythos' question. Nay, a challenge, perhaps? One that Sleipnir would be all too happy to take on, knowing well that he, for now, still has the edge. That man is but a babe when it comes to his accumulated powers, although it is fascinating how quickly he tries to adapt. A vessel with such potential so that he may hold God's being, and yet Sleipnir believes that he is not worthy. Not yet, anyway. Not until he's proven himself, and has absorbed his liege's powers, including even himself.

"Oh, dear Mythos, I can teach you to fear me if you so desire. I may be prohibited from killing you, but aught else is fair game."

A single moment of nonattention proves long enough the blade of the very knife he's holding in his own hand to soft hiss slips past Joshua's lips when the blade cuts the back of his hand. With a loud clank, the knife falls to the ground. Instinctively, almost, he reaches within himself for the healing flames of the Phoenix, which would effortlessly knit flesh and skin back together.

━ Only that there's nothing to be found.

Even though many moons have passed since the fall of Origin, Joshua still finds himself having difficulties acclimatizing to a world without magic. It's only now that they're gone that he truly realizes how much he relied on his powers to keep his body going, how much he was the Phoenix and how pushed his identity as Joshua to a far, far away corner of his mind. Now, though… Now he's merely Joshua, naught else. A young man with frail health, stagnant as the curse may be now, and where he used to soar the skies and use his essence to heal others, he is now but a mortal.

Joshua quietly stares at the blood trickling down his fingers, startled from his thoughts only when a hand wraps around his wrist.

Clive still looks as tired as he feels. Origin and all that happened within it left its mark on them both. The curse left its mark on them, and his brother lost his left arm to it, even. And still he worries about Joshua enough to push past it, and attempt to take care of him.

Founder, he shouldn't be so... "Clive, it's ━ it's fine. You needn't worry, it's nothing. I was distracted for but a moment."
