It was while she was doing some homework. Jordan had left her alone for a majority of the time she’d been home, after quickly realizing that she really hadn’t had the best day. When he knocked on the door to her room, she let him come in, expecting some kind of questioning about what might be wrong. But she was wrong. Instead of any questions, a flower crown was placed on top of her head.

        “Uh… Jordan?”

His little sister had not had the best of days. Parrish knew it, and so did Lenore. But instead of questioning her, Parrish took out the flower crown he’d been planning on giving her for her birthday and carried it to her room. 

Once the door opened, he followed the golden retriever in. The dog immediately went to Rain’s side, licking her in hopes of being able to snuggle her. Parrish had placed the crown on her head and smiled.

"Rain?” he replied, smiling.

     Rain and Daryl had been friends, (at least she considered them such), for a little while now, and she had heard some pretty strange, and rude, things from the other. When the two had been hanging out after school on that day, she definitely hadn’t been expecting the question, especially since considering about five minutes ago, they were talking about the dreadful science project coming up. How did one go from that to boob touching?

                            “Uhm, what?”

   Daryl had to choke back a laugh when he saw Rain’s face, and a grin spread over his own features. That happened a lot lately. Grinning and laughing, that is, not asking about whether he could touch her boob or not. 

    “M’kiddin’”,  he said, dangling his legs where he sat and let his gaze travel away from Rain. He guessed he could consider her a friend by now, and he opened up to her a bit more every day with rude and offensive jokes in between. “Unless y’wanna.” He tried to hold back the grin but with little success. This was probably not what Merle meant when he wanted Daryl to ‘become a man’.

Papyrus had his face firmly buried in Rain’s shoulder. Although he couldn’t see the tv screen, he could still hear the movie, and the squelches and demonic groans conjured up mental images that were perhaps far more horrifying than anything actually on the screen.

     *”Yes, yes, turn it off, no more of this!”

He groped blindly for the remote, refusing to lift his head from its hiding place.

7. “Something scared me” hug

Papyrus was incredibly strong and brave. Very little scared him. That waswhat he claimed, at least. That was put to the test on movie night, wherethe slightest of jumpscares sent him cowering against his friend, armslocked around her as if it’d protect him from the movie.

     *”Ahh! What was that!”
