I'm sure you've answered this before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. What programs do you use for your art? (And if you don't mind sharing, do you have any brushes you use that you really like?)
Since January of 2019 I have used a combination of Procreate and Clip Studio, though lately mostly Clip Studio Pro. (Before then I had used GIMP 2.8 for about 10 years. For free recs of good programs to use I now say use Krita!)
The learning curve for Clip was steep, and there’s still stuff in the program that I don’t know how it works, but It’s 100% built for drawing in! (Unlike some other programs that are photo editing first, drawing second.) Using it to make comics is devine!
I was going to say I am a boring brush user, and on the whole I am. I use a slightly modified version of the pencil tool in both programs, for just about everything. Pencil sketches through linework.
But then I remembered I have some fun custom brushes in both programs that I built for myself to solve certain issues like quickly adding trim to a dress or texture to hair. So I’ve made a couple of demo sheets to show them off!
There are probably much better lineworking tools than the digital pencils.. but truth is I just keep forgetting to change to my custom pen brushes and end up lineworking in pencil anyway.
My favourite brushes to use are all my custom design ribbon brushes in clip that I use mostly to add trim to dresses and costumes. Because I made them by hand they match the style of my work, yet they cut out so much time meticulously hand drawing lace or criss cross patterns. And they’re so fun to just draw your stylus over the page and lace falls out.

It would be more visibly Lucci, as she’s quick to react to physical threats, but Trahearne is protective in his own way, making certain that he has all the abvailable information and resources to give Lucci when she goes to the Pact’s missions.
