I can not focus on my studies until I share this with the people but Pet Name by They Might Be Giants is so Spamtenna core it actually hurts. John Flansburgh (who wrote and sang it) said the following about it:

"The song is about a slightly sleazy couple with a tenuous relationship to each other and a suspect relationship to the world."

Then later said

"[Pet Name]really started out with the same intention [of writing] a straight love song. And halfway through that I just... I chickened out. It's about a troubled, misstepped kind of relationship.(...) it's got a little bit more friction in it."
