I don’t know if this will happen, but here’s some fan theory: An event where we see a very primitive version of the Walrider in The Outlast Trials. I’ll now offer things to consider.

-New dialogue by Dorris mentioning a “ghost” in her dreams, whom she differentiates from the Skinner Man.

-Liliya being brought in from Mount Massive. She talks about the Egregore and controls multiple people like a swarm. She could’ve smuggled in prototype nanobots from Mount Massive.

-The Screamers being exposed to the Morphogenic Engine, and one ending in the game of a Reagent getting put into the Engine as well.

-The fact if a primitive Walrider was terrorizing Sinyala, the staff may not believe what the Reagents or Expop say. I have to include the Expop because the Night Hunters have the night vision goggles that could detect a Walrider.

-Historically, a former member of the Manhattan Project mentioned nanobots back in 1959. Richard Feynman. “There’s plenty of room at the bottom”

What I’m basically imagining is somebody could manage to pilot some prototype nanobots during Lucid Dreaming. Liliya, or someone under her influence. The Swarm were only detectable with night vision in Outlast 1. So there’s this “undocumented Walrider” wandering Sinyala, and the evidence documents would begin detailing “unexplained phenomena”. I don’t know how many of the cameras in Sinyala have night vision.
