The Unexpected Reunion
Flash stepped through the doors of the hospital, the atmosphere changing the moment he entered. It was unsettling. He had received a visit from Mrs. Page's agent, who requested that he visit her in the hospital. What was even stranger was that the invitation was specifically for him—not even his brother or his friends could join him.
Looking around, he soon found a tired mare behind the entrance desk. As he walked up, he considered what to say while adjusting his wings.
"Excuse me, miss? I’m here for Mrs. Page," he asked.
The mare looked up at him, then down at her records. "Second floor, room 208," she muttered, pointing the way.
"Thank you," Flash said calmly, turning toward his destination. He was still confused, wondering why an author would request a meeting with him. He reached the second floor and found the room. Lifting his hoof, he gave a soft knock before slowly opening the door and stepping inside.
Upon closing the door, he looked up to see Mrs. Page. An IV was attached to her, and she wore a bandana to cover her head, which had very little mane left. She seemed to stare at Flash for a moment, her expression difficult to read.
In the same room sat an older pegasus stallion. He had oddly similar fur—a faded version of Flash's own coat—and a similar mane color. The stallion seemed frozen in place, his mouth open as if he were in awe of Flash's presence.
After a long, awkward pause, Flash cleared his throat.
"Üdvözlöm, Page asszony. Úgy hallottam, keresett engem? (Hello, Mrs. Page. I heard you were looking for me?)" Flash said, breaking the silence. Page blinked, snapping out of her trance.
"Ó, igen. Kértem, hogy gyere... ööö... Van... néhány dolog, amit meg akarok osztani veled. (Oh, yes. I did request you... um... I have... some things to share with you)," Page responded. She tried to adjust herself in bed but struggled due to her weak state.
The stallion, unsure of what was said, continued to stare until he also snapped out of his daze. Flash moved to the side of the bed and found a seat. The air in the room felt heavy, punctuated only by the muffled beeping of the heart monitor.
"My husband, Blaze Runner, wanted to thank you for taking the time to visit," Page said, switching to a language her husband could understand. Flash gave a silent nod of acknowledgment.
Page took a moment, letting out a shaky sigh.
"Many years ago, a wonderful stallion came into my sad, dreary life. He took care of me, made me feel wanted, and showered me with affection. Soon, I was pregnant with a foal. Though that foal was a great joy, I couldn't enjoy it with the stallion I loved. My husband... he chased him away while he used me for his own gain," Page began. She spoke of her marriage and how the foal she carried was her only hope—the sunshine of her life.
She continued the story, covering the tragic moment she lost her child, the time she thought he had died, and her eventually journeying to Equestria. She mentioned seeing a newspaper and the joy of realizing her son was alive, followed by the dread of not being able to tell him.
Flash listened quietly, trying to understand where this was leading. He noticed her expression softening as tears formed in her eyes.
"I... thought I was lost forever, that I'd never see my sunshine again. Even now, my body is failing. Though my time here is coming to an end, I wish to go unafraid," Page managed to mutter through her tears. She looked directly at Flash. "So now, I lay in this bed, feeling complete because... I finally get to see my son. I finally get to reach out to him after so long." A genuine smile formed on her face as if a massive weight had finally been lifted.
Flash sat there, still as a board, his eyes wide with shock. Time seemed to stop. Was this real? Was he dreaming? Had fate really reunited him with the mother he had always sought? He snapped back to reality, his breath shaking as he turned away to process the news. His wings fluffed up in confusion.
He turned back toward her. "Y...you're joking, right?" was all he could manage. Without a word, Page’s horn glowed as she levitated a nearby photo toward him. Flash took it with trembling hooves. It was a photo of him as a newborn—the coat and the small tuft of mane were unmistakable—being held by the very mare in front of him.
A second wave of shock crashed over him, freezing him in place. His breath hitched, and tears welling in his eyes finally spilled over. He collapsed forward, years of pain, confusion, and unanswered questions finally breaking loose. This was his mother.
He began to sob, unable to find any words. His wings draped open against the floor. He didn't know how long he stayed like that, but eventually, he felt another wing drape over him. A wave of warmth covered his body as he looked up to see Blaze. Flash didn't need words; he knew. He continued to weep.
Flash had finally found his parents—the very ponies he had yearned for his entire life.

This is Lore post 1 of a handful of posts I have set. I finally had the motivation to get working on this!
Hopefully everyone will enjoy the read. My grammar isn't the best at times.
Forewarn, It'll get even more emotional the further this story goes. I'll be giving trigger warnings in at least one post.
I also apologize for the slap together props and background. I'm not good at those.
