Flashback Blues || Luca & Valor
The day started off like any other. Just another day at school. Smoking before the bell rang and then sitting through classes that were never challenging for the senior boy. It wasn’t until fourth period when the entire world around Luca Kharitonov started to spin on its axis. He had sauntered out of the mathematics classroom, a trigonometry book slung lazily under one of his arms and started to walk toward his locker. Once reaching it, the tall male opened it up and tossed the book inside before slamming the door. That’s when his eyes caught on a figure in the hallway that made him catch his breath and pause.
Valor Marsden. He knew who it was the second he saw him, even though they were both practically grown now. He had the same sparkling blue eyes, the same messy hair, and the same build as he had years before, although he was a bit taller and lankier now. Luca swallowed as his eyes passed over the other male and he attempted to keep his composure. The last thing he wanted to do right now was lose his cool. A part of him hoped that his one-time friend wouldn’t even see him or wouldn’t remember him and what they’d shared so many years ago. Another part of him was practically screaming for the shorter male to look in his direction and show him attention.
Before he could say or do anything, Luca felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Dorian looking at him with a shit-eating grin on his face. “Let’s get the fuck outta here and find some lunch,” the other said, mimicking pulling a joint to his lips. Luca’s eyes caught on his friend for a moment but then looked toward the hallway anxiously, wondering if he’d missed a chance that he’d been thinking about late at night for years. “Meet me out by the back of the shop?” Luca replied, “I have to check on something, but I’ll be there in a couple of minutes.”
A shrug from Dorian and Luca was left alone, scouring the crowd of people around him and wondering what the fuck he was going to do with the only man he’d ever kissed walking through the halls of his school. It was going to be a problem. Luca felt shaky, something that wasn’t normal for him, and it wasn’t until he turned around that he saw Valor was still rummaging around in his own locker. Luca didn’t say a word but he cleared his throat, hoping he wouldn’t have to go farther to have the male’s eyes on his own again after so much time.
