I’m... an infant.
guess what weekend it is!! it’s
..LABOR DAY WEEKEND I was seventeen I bought a Coke and some gasoline And I drove out to the county fair When I saw her for the first time She was standing there in the ticket line And it all started right then and there Oh, a sailer's sky made a perfect sunset And that's the day I'll never forget
I had a barbeque stain on my white tee shirt She was killing me in that miniskirt Skippin' rocks on the river by the railroad tracks She had a suntan line and red lipstick I worked so hard for that first kiss And a heart don't forget something like that
Working on a little something and stumbled upon this - hope this made your day as much as it made mine 😊
Started senior year this week which means no more Friday nights at Zeitgest for a while with the funniest guy in the office (plus Tim and Brittany).
Ran last night, meh
Circumstances changed at home and I switched my morning run to an evening run. I decided stupidly to wear what I wore for Wednesday's longer run, what a mistake. The temperature wasn't nearly as cold as the night before a long sleeve cotton t-shirt and gloves were not called for. I think it was only in the 60's. Starting out I was a little chilly but soon into the run I realized this one is gonna suck towards the end. My foreshadowing was correct (or I might have already decided that it sucked, either way). My legs were still a little tired from the longer run 24 hours earlier, but I just wanted to get my 3rd run for the week over with. And I did, very tired when I got home, thankfully dinner was waiting to help with that. Ended up being 6.4 miles.
Due to my inadvertent longer run than normal a couple of days ago, I'm at 19 miles for the week, which is the most mileage I've done in a while. Only by 1 mile, but still the most in a while.
I've been seriously procrastinating on my strength stuff and I have my Spartan race coming up in April. I have to step it up, I don't want any surprises at the race because I'm not strong enough.
I was thinking of doing a flashback Friday post, but I can't figure if I don't have the courage to put myself out there like that or don't want to go through the time and effort of scouring through hundreds of pictures to find the 2 that show a dramatic change from 3-4 years ago to now. Let me ponder.
Happy Friday! Do something epic today!
