I wanna tell you story of the rise and fall and the return of me years ago.
I used to date this person 3 years ago. It didn’t go so well, I was depressed for months. Then one day, I was at a bar at Intramuros during Happy Thursdays. Suddenly, a homosexual man approached me and tries to flirt with me. I immediately, reject him cuz I told him that I’m not gay. Another fun fact, I used to have a long hair and it reached somewhere in my shoulders so their was a lot of people mistaken me as a gay man. I just hope, I’m not offending anyone here. If you’re happy, well I’m happy for you.
Anyways, back to the story. The guy was embarrassed that he failed then I immediately saw his friends sitting near the window laughing their ass off. I told the guy, if they were his friends, he answered yes. I replied to him, “Can I join with you guys?” Then we both approach to his friends and they were like, “Woah. He did it.” But we break the ice, I told to them if I could join them drinking.
And so it begins the rise of my story. I was a heavy drinker, chain smoker, and womanizer. I go out with them at the bars and having a hell of a nightlife in Metro Manila. Then one day around 2016, I got scolded by my parents because I have a lot of failing subjects and unaccredited subjects. And there I realized that this is not me, I’m just trying to be someone hiding this pain I had over a year ago. That is my fall to my story. So I abandon my gig and cut ties with them ever since.
I decided to start a new life, stayed at my school, and to find my social norm. I was a lost sheep finding a flock to fit in to. After weeks or months or so, I found the best place to stay and also the place that I call my new home. The school library. I gain new friends there and until now they’re still my friends. Some of them graduated already, some are still studying, and some, well, decided to leave for a reason. And that is my story of how I return the old me. A geeky person, a binge watcher, and a video gamer.
