flashthomps0n replied to your post:people are shipping hydra cap and superior iron...
PAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHHAGAHA lets face superior iron man is a far more in canon way of having tony act than hydra cap
don’t speak to me again :|
come on. Superior is a literal moral inversion. the exact opposite of everything Tony Stark stands for (when he is written properly by people who have more than a single brain cell to rub together, which admittedly has apparently not happened for a while). It is legitimately canon that he’s acting in a way completely opposite his normal self during the Superior run.
Steve as a fascist tho? not too big a stretch. I mean the man is the literal embodiment of the self-righteous “my way or the highway” attitude. He holds very high standards for behavior and morality and if you don’t measure up? Well, he knows what kind of person YOU are. You people. He thinks in black and white. “Good” and “Bad”. A Right Way and a Wrong Way. Thing is, “good” can be relative to where you’re standing. All it would really take are a few small tweaks in his upbringing. A slight adjustment of ideals. A few nudges towards the Right Way and the Way Things Should Be. Getting Steve Rogers to admit he’s wrong about something is like trying to make the world spin backwards. And for a “Good Guy” he can display an astounding lack of empathy. All you’d have to do would be to get at him early enough in his life to convince him. It wouldn’t even be that hard.
