With the Kacchan apology finally happening in Boku no Hero Academia, and Bakugou's explanation for why he pushed Deku aside, I wonder if that dynamic was partially based on Flash Thompson and Peter Parker's dynamic from Marvel/Spider-man comics.
I am on mobile right now so I can't share images, but for those who don't know, in the Spider-man comics, during their college years, Flash comments (not with these exact words) on how Peter is a smug asshole who thinks he is better than others (which wasn't very far from the truth, but Peter only does that to actual villains usually). That was part of why he hated and bullied Peter so much in high school. They end up being pushed together, due to sharing some friends and lovers which leads to them becoming best friends (with so much shared tragedy between those two, it wasn't very hard, really). He is the only person from his days as a kid/teen that Peter actually brings to his adult life. Both Flash and Peter see each other as their hero (and even tho Kacchan has never stated that he thinks that about Deku, his words in the apology pretty much implied that). They are also both great superheroes now and have moved on from their problems as teens/young men.
Kacchan and Deku share a similar storyline. Bakugou saw Izuku as someone who looked down on him. A similar thought to the one Flash Thompson had. But now they are on the path to becoming friends again. They also keep being pushed into each others' lifes.
These duos also share some other similarities, but they are pretty minor stuff or not confirmed, but most likely canon situations (Kacchan being a victim of abuse like Flash, and that resulting in the way they treat others) or facts that were retconned out (Flash's feelings towards Peter being about Peter's mental capabilities and the former having an inferiority complex about that).
In the end, they are both pretty similar situations that were adapted to a Manga setting and the story of BNHA. But with Horikoshi's love for comics being a thing, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case
