She looks away and pretends to be busy when the flashy one turns around. She feels his eyes on her so she looks around before looking at him and giving a closed eyed smile, returning to her fake job and dropping the smile. He looks away and walks off, with a sigh she follows behind them. After he drops off the third boy she loses sight of the flashy one. With a gasp she freezes feeling him standing behind her.
“Who are you?” he whispers and she clenches her fists.
“Kaori Erity,”
“Hashira?” she doesn't reply and he scoffs, “You’re very flashy, Erity. What are you doing here?” She takes a second to think.
“Working,”
“For who?” she turns around to look up at him with a stern look on her face. “Follow me,” he walks past her and she hesitates before following him to a building.
They step inside and he leads her to a room. He opens the door for her and she steps in, widening her eyes, finding her stuff is on the floor. She swallows when he closes the door and sits behind her things, ushering for her to sit in front of him. Her jaw clenches when he picks up her katana, inspecting it, her hands are balled up on her lap as she watches him.
“Wind breathing?” he scoffs, “Why do you never attend meetings?” the question catches her off guard.
“What?” it takes her a moment to process, “I was never officially declared a Hashira, Tengen,”
He sighs, placing her katana down, “You defeated all those high ranking demons and they didn’t announce you Hashira?” she shakes her head.
“So you know who I am?” She tilts her head.
“We’ve met before,” he seems taken aback at her forgetfulness and she looks away as she tries to remember.
“A lot of my memories are suppressed because of a demon I fought,” she sighs, opening her hands on her lap.
“Do you remember why you're here?”
“Yes I do,” she rolls her eyes, “That fight wasn't yesterday,” she mutters.
“Then why are you here Hashira Erity?”
“I'm not a Hashira,” she repeats glaring at him, “And I don't have to tell you why I'm here. I'll be out of your way anyways,”
“Well you know why i’m here so it's only fair that I know why you're here,”
She frowns tilting her head, “What?” shaking her head she slightly adjusts herself, “That's not how this works Tengen,”
“Then how does it work?” he tilts his head this time.
“You have a mission I have a mission and we don't interfere,”
“Well you're interfering with my mission right now,” he smiles.
“That was after you interfered with mine!” The more frustrated she grows, the bigger his smile.
“It’s only fair that you-” she sighs, dropping her head.
“I'm not doing this, Tengen,” she stands up with her katana already in her hand before walking out of the building, holding her katana by her side as she looks around.
“Where do you plan on staying?” He's behind her, his hands behind his head as he watches her.
“I'll find somewhere,” her fist balls up realizing the dilemma she's placed herself in.
“I have a spare room,”
“Of course you do,” she mutters, turning around and walking back into the building.
