Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube) - Flat Zone

The home stage for the new character to the SSB franchise, Flat Zone is unlocked by completing Classic Mode in Melee using Mr. Game and Watch. It only appears in Melee, but aspects are used in future games as Flat Zone X (mixing together with Flat Zone 2 from Brawl).

The stage takes place within a Game & Watch handheld game and is primarily based on the game “Helmet” but also takes influences from games such as “Manhole” and “Oil Panic.”

A neat aspect of the stage is that all characters used on this level are in 2D, as seen when using the camera while paused. All characters also make Game & Watch sounds while moving.
