It's not yet midday and my day's been pretty eventful already 😊 Last night Lizzie wouldn't settle, so we caved in and gave her a bottle around midnight, which means she was asleep for solid seven hours as were we. I'm not complaining about actually sleeping, but when I woke up, I felt really bad for not feeding her in the middle of the night. We then made up for it and had a good cuddle until I managed to drop a pint of water all over the sofa and the carpet, so had to put her into the SleepyHead to try and soak up the flood. Of course she ended up crying, but mum only has two hands. We ended up cuddling for a while after. Now, she's asleep and I sorted out a flight for my mum, so she can come and visit her grandchild, I spoke to a few brands I work with and had a smallish breakfast, so at the moment I feel very productive and like a mother of the year. I'm sure the feeling will pass and I'll feel like a baby bed in no time. It's been quite a week despite it only being Wednesday today 😊 Most of my distractions, such as Instagram or reading were put on hold because Lizzie demanded all the attention. And I admit, it's been tough. Having a three kilo weight attached to you for hours on end leaves you with aching limbs, but being able to kiss her and smell her baby scent is priceless. How can babies smell so good when I covered in her vomit smell only of vomit 😂 We've also been reading together and communicating in two languages, but she doesn't yet share her opinion on my book selection. All you mums out there... What can you do with a three week old when they're awake?
