i looooove the introspection in these songs and the HONESTY and they all have messages i really love….i love how 11th dimension is a collection of different life lessons i guess ??? “your faith has got to be greater than your fear” is one of my favourite quotes of All Time i say that to myself whenever my anxiety gets bad. human sadness is just……ethereal. listening to it for the first time was an otherworldly experience and it still feels like that every single time i listen to it. it’s also really difficult to listen to in a way ‘cause i don’t like picturing julian in the same sort of situations that i find myself in, but i love how brutally honest he’s being. life is simple in the moonlight……is so hard to explain i think….the instrumentation which is like dreamy as hell contrasts perfectly with how….cynical the lyrics are i guess ? julian just doesn’t hold back like “He is coming from a part of hell / Where lightning blue eyes don’t go down well”….Ohhhh man oh man. and heart in a cage was one of the songs that got me hooked on the strokes ! i still relate to it So much i really understand the pain behind it the confusion how low you can feel and how paranoia affects your life. fuck okay i’m gonna stop i hope this was helpful
