Engraved on the top of the spoon is Cathcart Castle. Between the two words are the initials .C.C. Or .G.C. Cathcart castle is located in southern Glasgow. It is sterling silver and is signed on the back with three symbols; the lion that represents sterling silver, the crown that represents Sheffield, and a lower case that tells us it is from 1831.
