I don't often get photos of just myself. I often actually opt out of the solo shot for a selfie with whoever asks to take my photo. You have to be someone I trust for this to happen. It's not that I don't like my photo taken. I guess I find it weird to be the only person in a photo taken with my camera... It feels disconnected. Directing someone how to take a proper photo form the other side of the lens is an interesting practice. I can't see what the other person sees, yet I can still tell how a shot will turn out. I am often awkward and nervous in solo photos. I've really never had a proper professional self-portrait... weird, because I'm 10 years a photog. I guess I'm just that much more about everyone else than I am myself. I'm glad I exit my comfort zone on occasion though, otherwise I would be disconnected from the people.
