the flaw in the plan
It is with great sadness that I made the decision today to stop being overly stubborn about training and just....accept that I am injured. 3 weeks to the marathon! This sucks. On the other hand, I am looking on the bright side. That is, I will dedicate these 3 weeks to going back to the gym, learning to swim again and try my hand at spin classes (and eventually sometime next year learn how to ride a bike). I will still run the Full, but I have no expectations for it anymore. Re-planning another go at a Full Marathon for next year. After losing my FM virginity this Nov, I will now aim for another attempt next year, and this time; start the training 6 months prior with speedwork and core strengthening included!
So. Running a FM is like sex. You never get it right the first time? >.< hm. Train.Happy! :p
