Let’s get back to working on our new dark type flea circus-themed pokemon. You guys seem interested in giving them some new names, so let’s get started on the first form.

Contest #179: Pokemon Roulette Results

By a very narrow margin we have our new pokemon! We can thank EmeraldMew for these flea circus-inspired 'mons.

Let's see what information we have about them:

Flick

Dark type

Flick are small and defensively frail, so they battle by tricking their opponents with illusions and fast motion. They can bounce at high speeds to create confusion and their strange, honking cry disorients opponents.

Lauflea

Dark type

Lauflea mesmerize their foes with the strange orb they carry, which takes on the illusion of an empty void instead of a solid orb when stared at directly. While their enemy is entranced, they strike with a Sucker Punch.

Puppeteer Flea idea

Free flea concept: a puppeteer or brainwasher. It latches onto other pokemon and controls them.  You can’t catch them like other pokemon; instead, you can sometimes accidentally catch one when you’re actually trying to catch another pokemon.  That is, it would seem like a normal encounter with some other pokemon, but when you try to catch it, you instead catch the flea that is on that pokemon.  If successful, you would still have a chance to catch the freed host. After catching the flea, it still requires a host.  There is room for creativity here.  My first inclination is to use a modified version of the Substitute doll.  Maybe you could have a choice of various pokemon dolls which would constitute forms for the flea to take, sort of like Rotom. The brainwasher route is obvious.  The puppeteer one could be more interesting.  Maybe the flea has a body like a ball of yarn, and it has sewing-needle limbs. Anyway, I think this is a good idea, but I am sick of trying to draw fleas and I didn’t want to cop out and only submit a drawing of a crazed Substitute. ;)

Dark-type flea? Vampire flea.

Siphonea (siphon + siphonaptera + flea, the Flea Pokemon (Dark-type).Siphonea leap from the darkness and latch onto larger Pokemon to drain their energy. Once attached, it it nearly impossible to force a Siphonea loose.

Draculea (Dracula + flea), the Draining Pokemon (Dark-type). Draculea’s long jumps allow it to move as though it is flying. It feeds on the energy of other Pokemon and hunts under the cover of night.

Abilities: Insomnia, Infiltrator, and Parasitic (Hidden Ability).
