Ever since finding her mother’s true grimoire, Morrigan has known about Felmeth’s plans for her “daughter” - plans that now extend to Morrigan’s own son. After over a decade of constant watch and taking necessary precautions, Morrigan now must face the consequences of drinking from the Well of Sorrows. Confrontation is inevitable but in doing so, she must make another choice, one that could cost her what she has come to hold most dear.

Flemeth, it appears, is done with this particular discussion and takes a step towards us. “Where is he, Morrigan?” I retreat a step. I cannot, I will not, allow her to have him, no matter the cost! “No! I will not tell you!” Unexpectedly, the voices that, until now, have been silent in the back of my mind stir to life once more. Flemeth – Mythal – whichever one currently has control! – stares at me with frightening intensity attempting to seek the knowledge they want through my very thoughts. “No!” Now louder, the voices swirl inside my head. Stubborn... to the last, I repeat to myself silently, over and over. A mantra. A battle cry. You... will... not... have... him!

Oh, it's been a busy few months, and no one was more surprised than I was when Morrigan chose to speak to me this year! But I am so very pleased with the outcome!
I have been very fortunate over the years to be paired with many, many wonderful artists for all of the Big Bangs I have participated in, and this year is no different! The fabulous @tumblchorraden chose my story and oh my goodness, the art is so beautiful! (Please, go gush over it on her art post here!!!!! Such a lovely style and so perfect for this story! Thank you again, my friend! <3)
Now, let me share a little bit about the idea for this story.
This is a story triggered by one line of dialogue from Dragon Age: the Veilguard (but otherwise there are no DAtV spoilers in it).
The story is set late DAI/just post-DAI.
There is a slight canon divergence that will figure into my later, post-Dragon Age: the Veilguard writings in my Paulo Draco series.
