To experience. To feel. To conquer. As a suspendee of 7 years I have learned a lot about myself and my boundaries through suspension. I have learned that no matter what life throws at me, I will find a way to work through it and come out on top. After losing my spouse to cancer in 2018, the pain was too much to bare. I tried to end my life a few times just to stop the pain. Suspension has taught me that pain, no matter what kind is temporary. The scars will always be visible and you will always remember the last time you went up, but the feeling slowly disappears and soon you become numb to it slowly forgetting what that pain feels like. My hook family has helped mold me over the seven years in to the person I am today. I am emotionally and mentally stronger than I was before. I am thankful for each experience.
