Katniss's gray eyes took in the room and settled on one of the men her father left behind.
She was glad to see Goodwine Chaff alive, since she'd last seen him he'd been knighted. She found it strange Jasper Darius was unable to attend. Katniss was saddened to hear about Sir Alaric Woof's passing; his son Dolphus stood in his place. The look on Dolphus's face was stormy. A direct contrast with Plutarch who wore a purple tunic so dark it looked like the night sky. Katniss hadn't said anything. She was only listening, and watching.
"Discussing this only endangers those in the castle," Ryder said passionately, his face red.
"I agree with Lord Ryder," Finnick said, coming to stand by Peeta's brother who was facing her father in the middle of the tent.
"Do you now," Dolphus sneered, standing beside Chaff.
"We must act," Finnick said through clenched teeth.
"Without a plan?" Her father questioned. "Snow will crush us. I've seen it done before."
Both her father and Finnick took a step toward the other.
"Gentlemen, cooler minds must prevail," Peeta said standing between Finnick and her father.
Katniss was glad Peeta was able to calm the situation between her father and Finnick. Shortly after she arrived, they received news that King Daniel was still alive. Plutarch informed them there had been an epic battle between Haymitch and Crane.
In Katniss's mind, it was a miracle her mentor had been able to take on Crane. Haymitch must have used some long-forgotten trickery to cause the King to call a retreat. The castle and trading village of the Olvidados were still intact.
There was renewed hope in the land.

Chapter 19: In the past Katniss finally knows her father is alive and they are looking for a way to defeat King Snow. Their biggest problem was Crane. He is the power behind the throne. In the Future Crane was not too sure of this future with King Snow after the humiliation he faced against Haymitch, what can Crane do to be able to make sure his future vision is secure?
