❝ i don’t know it’s just… it’s not like her to skip school. ❞ barb would’ve called to let her know in the morning. she wouldn’t just NOT SHOW like this. it’s starting to make nancy WORRIED, especially since she hadn’t seen barb after the party. she had just figured she went home. but not coming to school just… it was starting to raise some RED FLAGS. ❝ i know it’s a STUPID question but… you haven’t seen her, right? or heard from her? ❞
( KAILEE AMORE ): I'M JUST TRYING TO BE BRAVE. ' you are brave, stellina, ' the mess behind her shows as much, though hannibal is glad kailee called upon him to help clean it up. there was only so much she could do on her own, even if she was getting better at understanding her cravings and hunting herself. but the doctor believed she hadn't been ready to go off on her own, just yet. this was going to take some time to clean up, to cover up, but hannibal had no qualms about helping her do it. handerchief was taken from his chest pocket, wiping away the blood from her cheek and the corners of her mouth, a light and gentle touch. as late as it was, doctor lecter needn't worry about any suspicions of where he had gone. pocketsquare is folded back up and put in its proper place, giving kailee a smile, asurring her he was not angry nor disappointed. in fact, he looked proud. ' i'm glad you called me, ' eyes glance over her shoulder once more at the body on the ground, clearly dead, his eyes open and filled with the last moments of terror he had felt before the life left him. ' was he someone important to you? ' or rather, was he important, in general? hannibal paused. ' will he be missed? ' @fleuramor.
the letter in the mailbox had been a surprise. lottie had dealt with it with careful hands, breaking open the envelope so as not to disturb the decorations. she had read what kailee had written, before reading it again. a light blush on their cheeks as they do. it's so sweet. it made lottie's teeth ache. by the third time reading it over she had resigned herself to putting it back into the envelope and talking to kailee the next day.
lottie had never had an admirer before. not like this anyway. they loved love though and thought the gesture was kind at the very least. lottie tiled her head to take a sip from their smoothie before handing kailee a smoothie too. "i guessed what flavors you'd like. hope you're not allergic to anything." lottie chewed on their bottom lip. "i was hoping we could talk about the -uh - letter you sent me? if you had time." @fleuramor

what is it they used to say? in spite of everything, tenderness there must be? well, barbie was holding onto her tenderness for dear life, keeping her kindness locked and loaded, just like the gun she now needed to carry on her hip. none of this was ideal, and she wouldn't go as far as to say she believed everything was okay, but barbie did think it could be, some day. until then, she grabs the kit of medical supplies she usually carries around with her and sets it on the table, glancing over the wound on kailee's arm thoughtfully. 'good news - i can fix that right up!' best news - it isn't a bite or a scratch. barbie pulls out some disinfectant and bandages. 'bad news - it's gonna hurt. but! it'll feel much better afterwards, so - the good outweighs the bad!' @fleuramor.
