House Updates!

Sebastian and Dylan were finally able to save up enough money to upgrade/expand the house and just in time too cause I had them try for a baby so now I’m just waiting to see if their attempt was fruitful. With this upgrade, we added a second floor with a large hallway and space for a laundry room (the washer and dryer were stacked in the hall before), another bathroom and two bedrooms. In the backyard, we added a small patio and did a whole lot of landscaping. There’s also a dedicated garden area now (all my sims have gardens cause its one of my favorite skills and because I still use that mod that makes all ingredients required for cooking so they have to get them from somewhere, lol) and a pool (not pictured). Future plans will include a backyard gym, more landscaping, patio furniture, kids play area and I think that’s it, for now anyway. I’ll let y’all know what they’ve been up to with the next update. Hopefully, there’ll be a baby announcement in there too :D

Meet Houston Flex!

He’s so cute y’all, I just wanna reach in my monitor and squeeze his cheeks! Based on his features now, I think he’s going to look more like Dylan when he ages up but we’ll see. Also, I guess these two were so in love with the idea of having a baby that they decided to make another one -- well another two I should say since she’s having twins, a boy and a girl. I’m excited but I think after these two are born, we’re done with kids for this generation, unless they have other plans cause my sims are good for making decisions without me, lol. 

In other news, Sebastian completed his aspiration, the bodybuilder one so he’ll definitely be around long into the future (thanks to the long lived reward trait)  after Dylan passes on and she got a few more promotions and was able to choose her branch in the critic career (she went with art critic). 

Vanessa must’ve had a one-night-stand or something cause she’s still single but is pregnant. At first I was like ... “Vanessa, baby ... come here, we need to talk,” but then ... I thought about it and how her baby and all their kids’ll get to grow up together so I’m fine with it, lol.

Now, I’m off to look up twin names which I’ll share with y’all on the next update which I’m thinking will be when the twins age up to toddlers, unless something else happens before then :)

Random fact: All my CC for gameplay is genetic so whenever my sim kids are born, it’s truly a surprise for me to see what combination of their parents’ genes they get (I use this mod to make freckles and moles genetic so kids have a possibility of aging up with them). I never change anything (just add skin details, makeup, etc ...) so how they’re born is how they stay and its one of my favorite parts about playing a legacy.

Living Room + Kitchen

I haven’t showed y’all the inside at all, so here’s a few shots of the living and kitchen areas. The bedrooms are still pretty bare since we put most of our money towards the this side of the house and the backyard since these are the places they spend the most amount of time in. We’re considering expanding the kitchen just a little so we can add more counter space or maybe we’ll add on a dedicated dining room so we can move the table over and still get that counter space 🤔 ...

Anyway, the house is small and cozy (which I love!) and there’s a functional toaster maker in the kitchen! This toaster maker actually makes toast! All kinds of toast! Toast they can eat! They’re always eating toast now. Can y’all tell I’m excited about this toast? Lol! If you want your sims to have toast too, you can find that mod here.

The kids are all ... kids!

Houston is older of course, I think by like 3 days, but I decided to wait till they all aged up to give an update. 

So for traits (I hit randomize for all of them): 

Houston: Outgoing - I like this for him

Cheyenne: Loves Outdoors - like her daddy

Carson: Hotheaded - which makes total sense coming from fussy, lol

All 3 kids joined the scouts and are working towards earning badges. 

Life right now is kinda hectic because Sebastian and Dylan both have “non-traditional” work schedules, (him 7AM-2PM and her 4PM-9PM), and they both work on weekends, so the only family time they have is in the morning at the breakfast table before school. So since they have such limited time together, I usually try to have them talk and all that stuff but the boys do not respect this time and always find a reason to argue about nonsense instead. Carson seems to be real good at this too as he always walks away with the winner of the argument moodlet every time, lol. Houston finds him annoying but that doesn’t stop him from seeking him out to goof around and stuff. Cheyenne was good when she was little and is still good now which her parents are very appreciative of.

Also, Sebastian aged up to an adult and Dylan will too in a few days. After I took these pics, Alayna (Vanessa’s daughter) aged up too so I’ll get some of her later. Houston has about 5-7 days left until he ages up to a teen (on Love Day of all days, rude!) so there’s more to look forward to!

Update on Sebastian ...

Soooo, Sebastian had a full ride to Foxbury with all of his scholarships. Majored in Marine Biology but decided that college was not for him (explanation further down), dropped out, took out a loan to buy this house in Del Sol Valley where Dylan promptly moved in and they started their new life together, lol. He’s in the Athletic career now and she’s in the Critic (will be Art Critic) career. He had a want to propose to her like as soon as they moved in so they’re engaged! They both have a want to get married now so they’re saving up for their wedding. (rest under the cut)

It’s funny to see how they interact with each other, in terms of like living habits too cause he has the slob trait and always has piles of clothes and stuff everywhere that he never bothers to pick up (probably cause Rachel always did it for him) so she always does it but I guess she doesn’t mind cause he’s always doing sweet stuff for her (giving her gifts and taking her out). Speaking of Rachel, whenever she comes over, she still does his laundry on her own without being asked, lol.

Their first Harvestfest in the house was shortly after they moved in, so they invited everyone and like the next morning Marcus passed away (he was an elder). They were on good terms when he did tho and their relationship was maxed out again so Sebastian was sad for a good while :(

A few days later, Sebastian met Dylan’s parents for the first time and it was ... interesting. Bob was angry for some reason and kicked over their trashcan several times and ate his dinner in silence. Eliza seemed to really like Sebastian tho, like really liked, cause she would not stay out of his face. She spent more time talking to him than her own child so imma be keeping my eye on her cause I don’t know what she got going on. Also, Dylan has a twin brother, who has the evil trait so I imagine she’s considered “the good twin”.

While we’re on the subject of traits, Dylan aged up with the active trait which is pretty cool cause Sebastian has that trait too (along with loves outdoors) so because of that along with her art lover trait, I think the house will eventually have a home gym and tons of art of all over the place. I want the backyard to have a lot of fun things like that gym and a pool and areas for future kids so we’ll be saving up for all of that. Also, the house is only 1 bedroom so eventually, we’ll expand it with an upstairs area and I’m thinking a few more bedrooms.

Now about university ... I had Sebastian quit because I did not like the gameplay at all. From what I see, if I don’t want him to be in college forever, I would need to have him take at least 3-4 classes a semester. With that many classes, his days would pretty much be spent running back and forth to classes and doing work, presentations, etc ... which in turns mean I would be sitting there, speeding the time up constantly and that kind of gameplay is boring as hell to me so I took him out before I ended up losing interest, lol. We’re in a good place now tho so I’m back having fun again.

Meet Cheyenne & Carson Flex!

Remember what I said in Houston’s intro post about him looking like Dylan? Well I think I was wrong. I wasn’t taking pics back when Sebastian was a toddler but now that I think about it, he looks just like him so he may take after him after all while the twins take on more of Dylan’s features (they definitely got more of her skin tone, lol).

Keep reading for some info about all the kids and what I’ve learned about them so far ...

Houston (independent trait) - refuses to do anything Dylan tells him to do. No matter what it is, he always fights back which is crazy cause Sebastian can come right behind her and tell him to do the exact same thing and he will with no problem. Because of this, his relationship with Sebastian is much higher than it is with Dylan (his with her is barely at the friendship level). He also loves to smash his dollhouse because he’s always angry about something. Basically if he’s not getting his way, he’s mad. The other sim day, he was on his way to smash the dollhouse again and had the nerve to get sad and cry real tears because it was still broken from last time. I just shook my head and moved on.

Cheyenne (charmer trait) - is a sweetheart and always keeps herself entertained. As long as her needs are high, she really doesn’t cause any trouble at all. Most of the time, she just sits on the sofa watching what everybody else is doing. She really is a happy baby. Dylan always seems to autonomously do things with her (dance, play, etc ...) so her relationship with her is the highest but she’s good with Sebastian too.

Carson (fussy trait) - so usually I just randomize for the toddler’s traits and go with whatever they get but for him, I had to choose fussy. When he was still an object baby, all he did was cry. Literally. For no reason. Constantly. At the time, Dylan’s parenting skill was high enough to be able to see what they wanted (where the thought bubble would appear over the crib) and he always wanted to be talked to, all the damn time, so yeah, fussy was a given for him. He usually spends his days making messes, nonstop. Every time I take my eyes off him, even if its just for a second, he wabbles his little ass outside to that same damn spot from last time and makes another mess. His relationship with Sebastian and Dylan are equal.

The boys are clearly going to be the troublemakers in this family if things keep going the way they’re going 😒

Whenever I get them all sitting down in one place tho, busy with the blocks or the tablet or something, they always start talking to each other which I think is adorable (especially since Houston was angry about their arrival. That’s how the dollhouse got broken the first time around, lol).

Oh and about Sebastian and Dylan ... they’re just now realizing that they may be in over their heads, lol!
