Flicker Theories !!
HOUSE & FOREST MAP — (I headcanon that the house map is a two story building) The house map is located deep in the woods and if you walk out into the forest long enough, you’ll find the woods map. If you walk away for a very long period of time, you’ll see mountains and dead trees (so basically this location has no service at all).
SEWERS MAP — The sewers map is right below a busy road in a city so the participants (i call the players participants) would often hear cars pass by and muffled commotion. Sometimes there would be complete silence, especially very late at night.
FARMSTEAD MAP — The farmstead is an abandoned building located next to a really old farm house in the middle of nowhere. There are trees but very few. Every once in awhile you’d hear a vehicle pass by.
NARRATOR — You know the text that says “Welcome to flicker” and explains everything, right? The narrator sits underground/outside of whatever flicker map as he watches the cameras placed inside of the building, he uses a microphone to talk to the participants in the killing game. This person I’m talking about happens to be Josh! Not Joshua, Josh!! (fuck yeah) he controls the entire flicker game, matter of fact, he created flicker, literally.
JACKSON’S LORE — This is for those who read his lore; ever wondered why Jackson would disappear for some time then reappear? I believe he would get a signal from Josh that he has to leave so he would wander off, looking for a place to be alone so he could open a portal to a flicker map, where he meets Josh. At this time, Josh was still making Flicker and needed someone to test his game, which Jackson would be doing. Josh told Jackson that he would become the mastermind of the game if he completed the test.
Ever wondered why Jackson would reappear with scars all over? Because every time he’d do one wrong move in testing Flicker, the game itself would slice him with sharp objects (if that makes sense). Overtime Jackson got the hang of it and officially became the Mastermind and stayed with Josh, which explained why: “He mysteriously vanished and never returned”
Prior to becoming the mastermind; when Jackson was done testing Flicker for the day, he’d go back through the portal to reappear again. He’d usually be gone for 10 to 15 minutes, or possibly longer.

Wonder why Jackson wanted to become the Mastermind in my theory? Because he wanted to try something new ☺️(PFFFT)
