i look traumatized. but.... happy. so. like.... anyway.... let the story begin hahhaa

important disclaimer: none of this feels real. this cant have POSSIBLY happened. like.... looking at this picture i dont think thats ME! and this feeling of disbelief may.... colour my concert report because it just.... last night was one long dream.

but now, first of all: lisa @beatingfortwo i bloody love you. like.... a whole lot!!!! going with you to concerts in general is always bloody lovely and last night was even lovelier because you did let me crush your hand and you looked after me when you realised i had been too quiet for too long during the actual concert and let me lean on you during flicker so like.... I LOVE YOU!

another big shout out to @nixllercraic (on twitter) who was behind us in the queue and who was just the loveliest!!! i love love LOVE meeting new lovely people at concerts!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!

queuing was long and after a while quite hard because you couldnt really sit? because the floor was... just.... stones and dust and yucky stuff?  but it was still fun! i could start a long rant about the huge amount of germany flags i saw in the queue but.... i wont. i did my best to kindly decline taking one of the lil germany flags that were supposed to be held up during this town, because.... the project in itself sounds lovely. but i had to explain to the lovely girl that was passing them around that.... i wouldnt be able to hold the flag up without pulling a sour face and.... i dont want to ruin the project..... it was.... weird but she was nice! and i think that even tho she didnt understand my reasoning she still..... understood me? maybe? who knows. anther lovely encounter was a girl who gave me a letter for niall and a painting a friend of her had done of her and niall, asking me to somehow give it to him during the m&g! like... it just.... i just love this connection between all those random people? ofc i’ll try to get it to niall! (in the end i gave it to a lovely security lady or more like.... she was part of nialls team! she was lovely and she was going around collecting the soundcheck q&a questions and she said she’d give it to him! so i hope it found it’s way to him!)

now.... lets start with the soundcheck, in short: I BLOODY LOVE NIALL HORAN AND I LOVE HIS LITTLE LAUGH AND HIS HUMOUR AND HOW HE KEEPS DRAGGING US! like YES! the questions were adorable and his answers were well thought out and just *sigh* hes the SWEETEST! also even then i was like.... why the fuck is he so tiny!!! HE LOOKED TINY!!! but in the back of my mind i was like.... nah it just looks like that. when i’ll be next to him he’ll seem big again.... spoiler: he didnt. sdlfjlhskljdn

now to main event..... actually meeting him. let’s go back a little bit first: i had my trans flag with me, and i wanted a picture of him holding it with me and i had taken it with me as a like... security blanket that would give me the courage and INCENTIVE to tell him that my name is felix, aka that im a boy, no matter what i look like but..... security took my flag away. they didnt allow me to bring my flag with me because they “didn’t allow anyone to bring a flag with them to the meet and greet”, me the dummie that i am a) believed them and b) am too scared to talk back to an authoritive figure. so.... okay. no flag for me. and i dont know if you’ve guys seen other pics yet, but i DID see the one pic on my dash with the girl that got a pic with the otra flag and just.... i am kinda a little angry. just a little. and hm. yes. take my flag away. thats fine. but.... i mean. there was niall. so the anger didn’t last that long, because suddenly i was in front of niall. and he. really. really. REALLY. IS. TINY!!! (i know i still only go up to his shoulder but MY POINT STILL STANDS SDJGNDSLG) and well in typical felix fashion i behaved weirdly sdlgjndfh he was already going in for the hug when i said: “hi uhm can i? can i have a hug?” and then he hugged me! HE HUGGED ME!! (AND HE SMELLS LIKE SPARKLES AND RAINBOWS AND LOVE AND A LITTLE BIT SPICY BUT VERY WARM LIKE LOVE PERSONIFIED!!!) and he was like: “you alright?” and i said....”i mean not really?” sdkfjldfnglkfh BUT. EVEN THO I MADE A FOOL OF MYSELF!!! HE IS THE LOVELIEST!!!! but... then it was already over. sdjgndfg very quick. very unreal. very perfect.

now the show: he is FUCKING BRILLIANT!!!!! he just..... HOLY FUCK!!!! the entire show was SPOT ON!!!! AND I FINALLY GOT TO HEAR SO LONG??? AND MY HEART IS STILL BREAKING??? IM NOT OKAY???????? also niall james horan how dare you say we can relax and that all the sad songs are done now and then play mirrors??? thats my go to cry song?? i get way too emotional about mirrors?? like NOEL PLS!

i actually did cry during flicker and that experience.... the song has always made me emotional but i dont think i’ll be able to listen to it again now without sobbing.

his COVERS????? SO GOOD??? BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN WHOMST? (okay no i love that guy but sjdgndflh) AND DRAG ME DOWN???? WHAT AN ICONIC VERSION???!!!!

after the concert i ran into a super sweet couple, one of them was clutching their bi-flag and i told them i liked their flag, and they said: your flag is also beautiful and it was just..... i love my rainbow pals so much! each and every single one of you!!!!!!!! like this was such a short moment, such simple statements. but..... i see you. you see me. we are here. queer. beautiful.

and.... yes..... okay i think that’s it. i think i’ve written everything of my chest. i hope. otherwise i’ll just add something on hahahha

The Rise of Gerry

Presley and Henley share a love of all things Niall, that is until Gerry came along.  Henley has an instant attraction to the Irish drummer from the moment he pops on up on Niall’s Instagram account.

The two girls decide to return to their hometown of Nashville to see the boys preform live on the Flicker Session 2017 tour.  And maybe, just maybe they will meet the men of their dreams.

Chapter 1

“Presley!  Presley!” Henley called out.  When she doesn’t respond, she kicks her feet from under her butt and heads out to the living room walking a little harder than usual. Presley is sitting on the couch lost in Niall’s Instagram stories again.

Henley stood behind her and shook her head.

“I have been calling your name for like five minutes.”  Presley looks back at Henley, waiting for her to talk. “Have you seen Gerry’s latest post?”

Gerry being Gerry Morgan Jr., Niall’s drummer for his new band.  He showed up on Niall’s Instagram when Niall was introducing his new band for the Flicker Sessions.  Who could turn down a hot Irish drummer when he is a band member of her best friend’s celebrity crush?

Presley laughs and shakes her head.

“Henley you are bitching at me for being lost in Niall’s IG Story and you want to know if I’ve seen Gerry’s.  You are ridiculous sometimes.”

She sits down on the couch next to Presley and watches her click on Gerry’s IG Story from her iPhone.

“It’s a picture of him with a mud mask on.” She laughs at her and goes back to scrolling through pictures of Niall.

Presley and Henley have been friends since birth.  Their mothers had met in birthing class and bonded over their love of music.  No one was surprised when either of their moms names them after their favorite musicians, Elvis Presley and Don Henley.   They grew up in Nashville and fell in love with the music just like their mothers.  I think everyone would have been disappointed in them if they didn’t. They had to live up to the names they were giving.

Now the girls are 22 and living in LA like they have always dreamed.  It isn’t as fabulous as they thought but they were happy to have the opportunity to experience a different part of the country.  It was a daily struggle to find work and pay the bills. They both have been working for a temp agency hoping to find something that they would fall in love with. Henley had majored in Literature in college and everyone failed to tell her she wouldn’t be able to do much with it. Presley on the other hand had chosen a more practical career path with a degree in education but she just wasn’t ready to settle down with it.

Henley has been a fan of Gerry since the first time he popped up on Niall’s Instagram account. She always loved Niall but Presley called dibs from the start of One Direction.  Henley was completely fine with that and moved her attention to Louis.   Sometimes Presley was willing to share Niall but recently she was very territorial.  

Henley ignores Presley’s lack of interest in Gerry.  A few minutes later Gerry posts another picture to his IG account with under eye treatment pads on.

“I swear to god he is into skin care more than the average girl,” Henley laughs.

Henley decides to comment on the post. “Can you please share your beauty regiment with me?”

She takes a deep breath, “I’m going back to bed.  I had a stressful day at the office.  I think every computer was down and my boss had an issue with every client.”

The temp agency Henley worked at found her a semi-permanent job at a lawyer’s office in LA.  She had been there for two months but had no intentions of it turning into something permanent.

The next morning Presley starts to yell for Henley to get up.  Henley looked at the clock and pulled the blanket over her head.

Seconds later, Presley was jumping on Henley’s bed. “Trust me you will want to get up for this.” Henley slowly pulls the blanket back and rolls her eyes at Presley.

“You need to look on your Instagram account.  Just trust me.” “Yeah like I never heard that before. They will be your famous last words.”

Henley sat up and grabbed her phone wondering what kind of crazy shit she put on Instagram.

She immediately looks at her story feeds and sees that Gerry posted something new.  She clicks on his icon and smiles as she sees him on the screen. It was a video of Gerry responding to Henley’s question.

“To the girl last night who wanted to know my skincare routine here it is.” In a hilarious manor for over five video’s he joked around.

Henley starts to scream. “Oh my god!  I can’t fucking believe that The Gerry Morgan Jr. is talking to me!”

Henley quickly looked up excitedly at Presley to find her filming.

“What are you doing? I look like complete shit.”  She covers her face to hide it from the camera.

Presley puts down the phone and laughs at her.  “I am so posting that and tagging Gerry.”

Henley quickly grabs the phone out of Presley hand. “Absolutely not, I am good.  He noticed me and I can now go on with my life knowing that he knows who I am.  Don’t go and embarrass me.”

Presley walks out of the room knowing that she will get her phone back when Henley gets in the shower.

Henley looks at her phone and its 6:30am and time to start the day.  She whines to herself as she turns on the shower and waits for the water to warm up.  One thing that she hated about this apartment was the lack of hot water.  Once the water is lukewarm, she jumps in knowing her time is limited until the water becomes cold.

Once Presley hears the water turn on she sneaks in and searches for her phone.  Henley was never good at hiding things.  She always used the same hiding spot.  She opens the sock drawer and looks on the bottom right and finds her phone. She shakes her head as she grabs it. She knows that Henley would delete the video as soon as she got out of the shower so she had to act quickly.

She quickly posts the video on Instagram and tags Gerry.  When she hears the shower turn off she puts the phone back and runs out of the room.

Henley comes out of the shower and looks in the mirror.  “I seriously hope that Gerry never sees that video.  I am not anything special, especially first thing in the morning,” she talks out loud to herself.

She brushes her hair and dries it.  Pulling out her makeup bag, she looks inside and pulls out a few extra things that are not included in her usual makeup routine.  If Presley posted the video, she wanted the opportunity to post a selfie in case Gerry looked at her account.  She contemplated putting the account on private so that he would not be able to look at her.  She took 10 minutes to find the perfect outfit.  She couldn’t believe she was going through all this trouble for something she knew was unlikely to happen.  She walked over to the dresser and pulled out Presley phone.  She knew the pass code for the phone and went in and deleted the video immediately.  When she was ready to leave for work, she grabbed Presley’s phone and left it on the kitchen table.

“Ok Presley, I am heading out to work.  Your phone is on the table and the video is deleted.”

Presley was just finishing getting ready for work and shook her head when Henley said she deleted the video.  She couldn’t wait until later when she found out what she did.  Henley liked to play tough but it was all an act.

Presley was working at a daycare covering for someone on maternity leave.  In the next few weeks, she would be without a job.  She was feeling the pressure to figure out if she should look for another temp job or go back home to Nashville and become a teacher. She wondered if it was time to stop to running from her past.  She was also afraid to have the talk with Henley.  She wondered if Henley would stay in LA or come home.
