Ah… on Cybertron it is often difficult to tell where the living ends and the machine begins. We make use of many sophisticated artificial intelligences in our day-to-day lives, but the vast majority of these devices are just that—artificial.
A computer can only process what it sees and operate off of pre-programmed instructions, while a full-fledged Cybertronian lifeform can think, feel, imagine, emote, and dream. Of course, such boundaries are not always as clear-cut as they might seem at first glance, and indeed many Cybertronian philosophers have debated the blurry limits of sentience.
