He was Flightfur’s mate until she had kits and he left her, and is also Lilybeak’s father.
He got with Flightfur because he thought she was prettty + he knew she had a crush on him so it wouldn’t be hard.
When she expressed wanting to have kits, he agreed that they would make a perfect family—not because he believed it. He only did it because it meant she would be more intimate with him if she was trying to have kits, and she would only have kits with him if she believed that he was the one. So he played the part.
Until her dream became a reality, and she became pregnant. That’s when Tadpoleclaw bailed.
The only time he has ever been part of any his kits’ lives was when he shouted at his daughter for being weird and attacked her.
